Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds is the new Yas Island Ambassador

Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island is going big with its latest brand ambassador – even bigger than before. The new Chief Island Officer has been unveiled and it’s none other than the Hollywood actor, Ryan Reynolds. Be prepared to witness this star taking you around Yas Island and showing it to the rest of the world.

Yas Island is a family-friendly hotspot offering world-class entertainment. In Ryan’s new role, he will share the joys of the island’s attractions and bring them to life in his own unique way. 

The video kicks off with Ryan Reynolds leaping off a building and landing right on the Yas Marina Circuit. In the background, the W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island lights up to welcome him. With his trademark wit, he then wastes no time in sharing that he’s the new Chief Island Officer for Yas Island. From heading to The WB Abu Dhabi to diving at Yas Waterworld, Ryan can be seen exploring the island in style. He also hints at all the exciting stuff he’s got planned for Yas Island, teasing us to stay tuned.

Prior to the announcement, Yas Island posted a teaser on its Instagram handle. The caption read: “First it was Kevin Hart, then Jason Momoa. Our new Chief Island Officer is en route to Yas Island. Can you guess who?” Fans shared their guesses in the comments, but only some were able to hit the mark right on the mark.

Ryan Reynolds is a Canadian actor known for his wit and charm — both on and off-screen. Some of his most famous works include Definitely, Maybe, The Proposal, Green Lantern, and the Marvel series Deadpool.

Signing up Yas Island’s new Chief Island Officer, isn’t Ryan’s first stint in the capital. In fact, his Netflix film, 6 Underground was also shot in Abu Dhabi back in 2018. Plus, with the recent release of the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, this announcement couldn’t have come at a better time.

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart was Yas Island’s first Chief Island Officer. He brought his signature swagger to the role and created comical videos across the island. In 2023, Jason Mamoa stepped into the role and brought his crazy energy to Yas Island. With Ryan now taking over the reins, brace yourselves for an even wilder ride.
