A chic wine bar has debuted in the capital

UVA is located at Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi’s newest wine bar and lounge has arrived, taking up residence on the ground floor of Marriott Hotel Al Forsan. Meet UVA, which takes its name from the Italian word for grape and has set out to serve affordable wines, signature cocktails, and local craft beers in a relaxed setting.

Here, a wide drinks selection is paired with a sharing-style menu of small plates and charcuterie, making it an easy choice for post-work drinks or girls’ night out. The charcuterie section has a varied range of cheeses and meats to be chosen as per your liking. And because the small plates promise to be crowdpleasers, the team recommends sharing three or four plates and tasting a little bit of everything. Highlights include the green olive pistachio tapenade, single pan chorizo, garlic mussels, crispy corn tacos, and meatballs.

The beverage menu, meanwhile, includes a no-fuss range of wines to suit every taste, local craft beers by Side Hustle, and signature cocktails – the UVA’licious comes highly recommended. A laidback atmosphere is created by the deep base of the music, loud enough to feel the sound but quiet enough to stay in the background, complemented by a striking purple bar and soft warm lighting.

Incidentally, UVA is celebrating its launch with a host of special offers. With ‘Winesday’, guests can enjoy 50% off on all bottles of wine from 4pm to 11pm every Wednesday. ‘Go-SSip’ caters to the ladies, pairing two hours of free-flowing selected beverages with one dish from the small plates menu for only AED 99 every Thursday. And if you prefer to wind down with a drink on weekends, make sure of ‘Signature Sunday’ – you can enjoy a complimentary signature cocktail when you try one of the signature dishes on Sundays.
