Ling Ling will open inside Atlantis The Royal this week

Hakkasan’s funky sibling Ling Ling will open its doors on Friday, 10 February.

It’s the day we’ve been waiting eight years for. On Friday, 10 February, Atlantis The Royal will officially open its doors for dining, drinking, daycations and extended stays.

The hotel will feature 17 on-site restaurants, including celebrity chef-fronted concepts Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Ariana’s Persian Kitchen by television chef Ariana Bundy, Jaleo Dubai by José Andrés and La Mar by chef Gastón Acurio. However, team FACT is most excited about the Hakkasan offshoot Ling Ling situated in the hotel’s crown.

A day-to-night destination, Ling Ling has been designed to evolve from drinking to dining and dancing inside a multi-faceted space that features a lounge, nightclub and an outdoor terrace with 180-degree panoramic views of Palm Jumeirah and the Dubai skyline.

Upon arrival, guests are whisked up to the 22nd and 23rd floors, where they are invited to explore the venue via several communal experiences. Cocktails can be enjoyed in the expansive bar, while culinary offerings can be experienced in one of two dining lounges, as well as a spacious terrace. The venue also features an elegant 12-seater private dining room and a discreet Ultra Lounge nestled in the heart of the venue, designed to offer guests a more intimate and exclusive bar and nightlife experience.

Serving contemporary Asian dishes, Ling Ling encourages guests to discover and explore cuisine differently. Inspired by izakaya, where food accompanies drinks (rather than the other way around), cocktails are at the heart of the experience. The culinary highlights fuse Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Korean influences without leaving aside the Cantonese origins of Hakkasan that are present in every course. The menu was created by Steven Nguyen (formally of Indochine) and includes signature dishes like Australian Lobster Pad Thai, Tea Smoked Duck Kueh Pie Tee, 24k Gold A5 Wagyu, and Lobster Maki Sushi Rolls along with signature desserts such as Coconut in Paradise.

Already boasting three locations in Marrakesh, Mexico City and Oslo, Ling Ling was initially born as the lounge area within the first Hakkasan in central London. Featuring lower tables, a relaxed atmosphere, energetic music, expertly mixed beverages, and a space designed for socialising, Ling Ling quickly became a space to see and be seen in London. Following its unprecedented success, the brand expanded as a standalone concept at Mandarin Oriental, Marrakesh, back in 2016. Designed by Parisian duo Gilles & Boissier, the signature interiors include lush greenery, vibrant artwork, memorable views, and spacious outdoor terraces.

Celebrities Ellen Pompeo, Ashley Park, Bar Refaeli, Trey Songz, Amir Khan, Jonathan Cheban, Fat Joe, and Caroline Stanbury, all got a first taste of the restaurant’s unique dining experience during Atlantis The Royal’s Grand Reveal.

The venue is located on levels 22 and 23 of Atlantis The Royal, overlooking the resort’s 90-meter sky pool, Cloud 22.
