Eight new restaurants that need to be on your Abu Dhabi dining radar

A new year is upon us and a wealth of new dining options are popping up throughout the capital. Here are eight new restaurants that need to be on your Abu Dhabi dining radar.

The Cove at West Bay Abu Dhabi:

The Cove is a vibrant beachfront lounge that extends out over the sands of Abu Dhabi’s Corniche beach while boasting panoramic views of the city skyline. The new venue is open from early morning until late evening and serves a fusion menu of Mediterranean dishes. You can expect oysters, sushi, skewers and freshly grilled seafood accompanied by a selection of cocktails with exotic names such as Desert Fever and The Alchemist.

Cyan Brasserie at Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi:

Cyan is a modern brasserie that combines French-rooted cuisine with the Middle East’s rich and hospitable culture and is located on the 18th floor of the Guinness World Record-holding leaning tower of Abu Dhabi. The restaurant aims to offer an experience that reflects Joie de vivre and the love of food and social dining. Menu highlights include creative mezze such as salt-baked Heirloom beetroot labneh, artichoke and chickpea hummus, oysters, foie gras terrine, Wagyu flank steak and mango pavlova or pistachio baklava for dessert.

Villa Mammas Abu Dhabi:

Villa Mamas is a grander version of restauranteur and chef Roaya Saleh’s home. Here, she combines local, seasonal, fresh and organic ingredients with a promise to feed your senses. Inspired by her childhood memories and travels throughout the Middle East and India, Villa Mamas is an extension of Roaya Saleh’s own kitchen. Menu highlights include cherry, feta and lamb kofta, hamour and mixed herb rice and Bahraini Elba. Villa Mamas Abu Dhabi is the third location for the concept which originated in Bahrain and can also be found in London.

Stay Pura at Jubail Island:

An eco-retreat is not necessarily the first place you’d think of when it comes to eating out but Stay Pura on Jubail Island offers exciting gastronomy for those in the know. Tantalise your taste buds with a wholesome menu and embark on a culinary journey that blends local elements with meticulous cooking techniques. Dishes on the menu include carne asada, slow-roasted cauliflower steak and desserts of dark chocolate mousse and foil baked banana. There’s also a sunset afternoon tea available daily for AED 265 per person.
