The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi unveils a gastronomic start to the year

Embark on a journey for the senses at the luxury resort this January.

The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort has unveiled a host of culinary experiences to ensure a flavourful start to 2021.

The luxurious five-star property takes pride of place upon the natural shoreline of the picturesque Saadiyat Beach and is set to take diners on a gastronomic journey across the varied cuisines found throughout the resorts signature restaurants.

Hailing from Peru, newly appointed chef de cuisine, Renzo Martin Reyes Reyes has designed a special masterclass at Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi to provide insight into Nikkei cuisine’s delicate flavours. Guests will be able to witness his culinary expertise as he prepares ceviche limeño, while head sushi chef Suntron Bangjan prepares Maki Acevichado. Following the class, guests will enjoy a three-course set menu serving the ceviche, alongside BBQ Nikkei Wagyu short rib and The Coconut – a dessert consisting of tropical flavours. The masterclass will take place on 23 and 30 January, from 12pm to 3pm for AED 195 per person.  

New Experiences arrive at Sontaya from the practitioner of Thai cuisine, chef de cuisine Narongrit Thongwijit. The new menu includes appetizer such as vermicelli prawns, duck pancake, Thai Money Bags, Vietnamese garlic and pepper prawn; Panang chicken, stir-fried beef, red salmon curry and three flavoured bean curd. The venue, which means ‘sunset’ in Thai has also introduced an all-new Dumplings’ menu consisting of Thai Chicken Dumplings, Potstickers and Chicken Money Bags. Each dish reflects a mixture of key ingredients, distinct cooking styles and dramatic presentation. Culminating in a blend of hot, sour, salty and sweet flavours.

For guests with a discerning palate, The Manhattan Lounge introduces the sliders and Champagne menuan intense collision of juicy patties and refined vintage blends. Each slider has been purposefully crafted with premium ingredients such as caviar, foie gras and lobster.

The sliders and Champagne menu is AED 195 per person and includes two gourmet sliders and one glass of Pommery Champagne. It is available on the last two Thursdays and Fridays of the month, from 12pm to midnight.
