21grams 

With views of Burj Al Arab and the Dubai skyline, the FACT award-winning 21grams has recently introduced a business lunch menu of Balkan soul food. Dishes on offer include baked beetroot carpaccio, burnt eggplant hummus and beef and quail ragout (our personal favourite). Available Monday to Friday, from 12pm to 3pm. AED 90 (two courses).

99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant 

At lunchtime, “Omakase” is a great excuse to take a break from work and be swept up in a nine-course menu. Enjoy 99’s signature dishes, including baby squid tempura and hand-crafted nigiri’s from quail egg and black truffle to salmon flambé, sea bass flambé and Australian Wagyu flambé. The main course of outside skirt steak with galangal completes the culinary journey. Available Monday to Friday, from 12pm to 3:30pm. AED 169 per person.

Around The Block

Situated at the vibrant Wasl 51, homegrown concept Around the Block has recently introduced a business lunch. Here, diners can enjoy kale salad, a plate of crispy eggplant layers, grilled chicken with rice, creamy salmon risotto, pasta arrabbiata, or a fried chicken burger. Chef Abdi will also serve the dessert of the day to ensure business lunch ends on a sweet note. Available Monday to Friday, from 1pm to 4pm. AED 98 (two courses) and AED 118 (three courses).

Besh

Skip lunch at your desk and opt for a two or three-course set menu of Turkish favourites at Besh Turkish Kitchen inside Sheraton Mall Of The Emirates. The offer includes one signature dish, a soft drink and shisha. Available Monday to Friday, from 12:30pm to 3pm. AED 85 per person.

Brasserie Boulud 

The modern concept at Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk offers a contemporary French business lunch that presents an appealing selection of appetisers such as escargots de Bourgogne or salade de sucrine to bring a touch of Provence to Dubai. Main dishes include the grilled hanger steak with French fries or a steamed seabream fillet topped with fennel, tomato and herbs. Completing the experience is the Ile Flottante, a dessert of egg white that takes on the appearance of a fluffy cloud. Available Monday to Friday, from 12:30pm to 3pm. CÉ LA VI Dubai

Those looking to take a break from the office or catch up with friends and family can visit this sky-high venue with stunning views of Burj Khalifa. CÉ LA VI’s Chef Howard Ko has curated a business lunch menu combining flavours that will invigorate the senses. The menu changes regularly, but diners can expect three courses, including CÉ LA VI signatures: burrata salad, miso black cod, and truffle’ sushi rice’ risotto. February 30 

Dubai’s buzzing Beirut beach club has brought a wonderfully eccentric energy to Palm West Beach and this looks set to continue with the venue’s new buzzing business lunch. Start the lunch with a choice of avocado tempura, Greek Salad, veal scallopini, or seared salmon, followed by a selection of mains that includes baked Chilean sea bass, grilled baby chicken, lamb cutlets, or penne tomato. Complete the afternoon with either baklava cheesecake, assorted mochi, or pistachio praline fondant. Available Monday to Thursday, from 12pm to 3pm. AED 145 per person

Fi’lia

The region’s first fully female-led restaurant is anchored around an authentic approach to Italian cuisine on the 70th floor of SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences. The business lunch features a choice of one starter, one main course and one dessert, with dishes such as Margherita pizza, sea bass feta and the Fi’liamisu included. Lola Taberna Española 

In Spain, Menu del Dia refers to ‘menu of the day’ and is typically a three-course meal, starting with a primer plato to get started, a segundo plato to follow, and finished with a sweet postre. The business lunch offer at Lola Taberna Española features a fixed menu or two or three courses of delicious Spanish dishes. Available Monday to Friday, from 1pm to 4pm. Lucia’s

Lucia’s at Address Sky View features a Mediterranean aesthetic and an incredible terrace offering views of Burj Khalifa. The restaurant’s business lunch begins with either Insalata Caprese or Tartare di Salmone, whilst main course options include homemade ravioli with spinach and ricotta, seared white cod with cherry tomatoes, black Angus beef rib eye or pan-fried chicken escalope. End lunch on a sweet note with vanilla pannacotta, almond biscuit crumble or a medley of vanilla, pistachio, chocolate and lemon gelato. Available Monday to Thursday, from 12pm to 3pm. Mohalla

Homegrown Indian eatery Mohalla now offers an affordable two or three-course business lunch menu. The casual dining venue offers some of its signature Indian dishes for guests to enjoy in 30 minutes or less, including shami kebab slider, crispy bhutta (fried corn) or a savoury 1965 buhari (Mohalla’s version of the classic chicken 65). For the main course, guests can tuck into paneer butter masala, dabba egg curry, chicken tikka biryani, butter chicken or a tender chicken wrap. Available Sunday to Wednesday, from 12pm to 3pm. AED 55 (two-courses) and AED 59 (three-courses).

Roobaru

Take a break from the office and treat your taste buds to this new business lunch at Roobaru on Burj Khalifa Boulevard. Expect a fresh perspective on Indian cuisine, featuring Sharjah sambusa (cheddar cheese and onion samosa), spicy-sweet butter chicken, keema roti, Aslam’s chicken (old Delhi style chicken tikka in a buttery kebab dressing), gulab jamun and ice cream. The venue also doubles up as a chai room, perfect for a soothing cup of tea before returning to the office. Available weekdays, from 12pm to 3pm. AED 69 (two courses) or AED 79 (three courses).

ROKA

ROKA, the contemporary Japanese robatayaki restaurant inside The Opus by Zaha Hadid, offers a two-course premium lunch menu with a selection of four starters to share, including salmon tartare and black cod and king crab dumplings. Guests are invited to indulge in one main course from various signatures, such as sea bream fillet or lamb cutlets with Korean spices. The regular Business Lunch Menu has also been revived, with the addition of a new starter – Warm mushrooms, Padrón pepper, green beans and spicy sesame miso. Monday to Friday, from 12pm to 3pm. Offering authentic Latin American and Caribbean fusion dishes, the Lunch A La Cubana at Rumba is perfect for those looking for Latin American cuisine.
