Celebrate ROKA Dubai’s first anniversary with two new tasting menus

With the introduction of ten and twelve courses tasting menus, there’s never been a better time to experience the charms of ROKA Dubai.

ROKA Dubai opened its doors in the ME Dubai Hotel in March 2020 and has changed the way we perceive and enjoy Japanese cuisine. Specialising in Japanese robatayaki, the contemporary restaurant with its open kitchen, stunning terrace and intimate bar has captivated guests with a dining experience revolving around uncompromising flavours.

In celebration of the restaurants first anniversary, ROKA has launched two exquisite and pocket-friendly tasting menus to showcase a combination of their signature dishes alongside Dubai favourites. 

The Seasonal Tasting Menu is priced at AED 380 per person and includes ten of ROKA’s most popular dishes. The menu consists of the unassuming but impressive Iceberg lettuce with caramelised onion dressing, the signature Beef fillet with chilli, ginger and spring onion, and a Fact favourite, the ROKA baked potato, in which the hot potato is taken from the robata grill, hollowed out, mixed with yuzu cream and spring onion and placed back inside the blistered skin. Believe us when we say it’s a textural marvel!

Alternatively, the twelve dishes that make up The Premium Tasting Menu are priced at AED 550 per person and include the most popular dish on the ROKA menu in London and Dubai, the Yellowtail sashimi with yuzu-truffle dressing. As the name suggests, the Premium Tasting Menu comprises of dishes focusing on high-quality ingredients such as the Rice hotpot with Japanese mushrooms, mountain vegetables and shaved truffle, and the undeniably tender Black cod marinated in yuzu miso. 

No matter which menu you opt for, both culminate on a sweet note with the Insta-worthy ROKA dessert platter. A drink pairing menu is also available upon request.

Dubai has welcomed ROKA with open arms and the restaurant has become a neighbourhood venue for the Dubai community. Our anniversary has given us the opportunity to create two special tasting menus, a great way for us to demonstrate the very best of what ROKA has to offer.”

2021 is set to be a landmark year for the ROKA Group. In addition to its four London locations (Charlotte Street, Canary Wharf, Mayfair and Aldwych) and ROKA Dubai, the brand will be expanding further into the Middle Eastern market with the opening of ROKA Riyadh in the Summer, followed by ROKA Kuwait this autumn.
