A family-run Italian concept is headed to DIFC

Miracolo will open its doors in early October.

It can’t be argued that recipes handed down from generation to generation carry special significance in terms of authenticity, and that’s precisely the appeal promised by Miracolo. Expected to debut at the start of October, the Italian restaurant and bar Miracolo will be located at Burj Daman in DIFC. And at the helm? Two brothers – Marco Miracolo (the head chef ) and Francesco Miracolo (the co-owner and restaurant manager) – who have brought the concept from Italy to Dubai. The new venture is set to transport Dubai residents to Italy by way of rich flavours and humble hospitality.

Incidentally, Marco is known as a master of pizza-making, teaching his technique at schools across Italy and receiving certification to teach pizza-making globally. Francesco, meanwhile, will be managing the restaurant while his brother cooks up a storm. And true to the family-run operation, both their wives will also be working in the venue, providing guests with the best of Italian hospitality. We’re told that the menu offers a range of flatbreads made with a special dough and ingredients hand-picked in Italy by Marco himself. Some of the culinary highlights will include pizza embellished with caviar, a perfectly crunchy yet cloudy double-cooked pizza, and a deliciously simple chicken confit and truffle.

Commenting on the upcoming opening, Francesco says, “It is a pleasure and honour to bring our family business from Napoli to the UAE. We are beyond excited to build a relationship with the region and the lovely people in it. Not only are we pouring ourselves into this project, but our lineage too. My father opened Pizzeria Miracolo da Andrea in 1989, and it is with great privilege that my brother and I bring the love and warmth of our family business to Dubai.” Accented with extras that add a sense of place, Miracolo will feature a sign that pays tribute to the many Italian hand gestures as well as an entire wall with ceramic hands propped up side by side, teaching Dubai residents how to communicate the Italian way. Let the wrist flipping and shoulder shrugging begin.
