A Jamie Oliver eatery is headed our way

Jamie’s Italian will debut at The Dubai Mall next week.

Jamie Oliver is a name we all know – and love – in Dubai. We’ve dined at his restaurants, encountered his brand’s pasta sauces and other pantry staples on supermarket shelves, and even heard of sightings of the celebrity chef around town. Now, Jamie Oliver Restaurants has collaborated with industry-leading franchise partner Apparel Group to launch a casual dining concept dubbed Jamie’s Italian at The Dubai Mall.

First launched in the UK back in 2008, the globally renowned restaurant offers regional Italian cuisine and is popular for its fresh pasta dishes, phenomenal pizza and indulgent desserts. With over 20 outposts worldwide, Jamie’s Italian Dubai Mall is the fourth to open in the GCC, following locations in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Set to launch on Wednesday, 8 June, the new restaurant will host a massive two-day celebration that will feature a visit from – you guessed it – Jamie Oliver himself.

With something for everyone, the menu at this flagship location will feature freshly made pasta, light and refreshing salads, hearty mains and tempting sides, as well as plenty of antipasti and dessert options – not to mention crispy pizzas and great vegetarian dishes that will celebrate the best produce of the season. Jamie Oliver has been a pillar in the culinary world for over 20 years, inspiring millions of people to cook fresh and delicious food from scratch.

“I should have been Italian,” he says. “Beautiful ingredients and a real passion for food brings friends and families together. That’s why, as a chef, I find the country so exciting, and it’s what inspired me to create Jamie’s Italian. The menu is all about delicious dishes inspired by my travels across the country, cooking up a storm with local foodies, gorgeous nonnas, or my friend and mentor Gennaro Contaldo.” Sima Ganwani Ved, Founder and chairwoman of Apparel Group adds, “We want our customers to experience an authentic and ethical brand.
