En Fuego is now open at Atlantis, The Palm

The South American spot is anchored in social dining with a difference.

Nights out in Dubai will never be the same again – that is what we’re promised with the opening of En Fuego (which translates to ‘on fire’ in Spanish) at Atlantis, The Palm. The result of a collaboration between Solutions Leisure Group and producer/DJ Don Fuego, this South American spot promises diners an exhilarating and authentic experience that’s full of surprises. It’s set to take entertainment to new heights, courtesy of fire performers, aerial hoop artists, an energetic tango duo, and gravity-defying aerial acrobats. From musicians and dancers to singing hosts and an enchanting family of characters, the team of performers will emit the heartbeat of South American culture, captivating guests in a setting that spans a vibrant, heritage-inspired interior and a lush, tropical terrace.

You’ll be greeted with a bracelet that officially welcomes you into Don Fuego’s family after which you can expect a little mischief from the Golden Butterfly or the energetic sounds of the Mexican mariachi band, the Fuego Trio. Elsewhere, the lady of the house Madame Rosa serenades guests with endearing vocals, as the Matadora and the Bull show off authentic Argentinian tango. Guests can samba the night away with the flaming hot dance duo, the Firebirds, and the Fire Gypsy, whilst keeping their eyes peeled for the nimble Red Hot Chili acrobat and Don Fuego’s personal trickster, the Jazzy Jester. A night at En Fuego is one full of surprises – and the whole family’s invited.

En Fuego

Echoing South America’s renowned penchant for a party, En Fuego delivers a multisensory-driven, all-encompassing destination that breathes new life into the definition of social dining, captivating guests with bright colours, electrifying acts and decorative objects that transport them to countries they may have never been before. Helmed by Columbian native Chef Daniel García, En Fuego’s vibrant menu captures the continent’s essence and is guided by his vision to showcase its most loved dishes. Beyond the food, diners can discover a perfectly paired beverage menu created by the restaurant’s Bar Manager, Sandor Sigler. As for those who have a gluten intolerance? You’ll be pleased to know that 90 percent of the menu is gluten-free. Highlights include the vegan Grilled Celeriac that features grilled celeriac placed on a bed of green pistachio mole topped with a traditional Mexican Macha salsa sauce.

En Fuego’s Scallop Ceviche is another must-order. Pairing scallops with the tangy, sweet flavours of green mango and lime, this Peruvian seafood dish is tossed in a creamy coconut milk sauce. To enhance the South American experience, diners are recommended to pair this ceviche with a glass of Chichimurada, a Peruvian mocktail made from boiled corn, spices and fruits. We’re told that another menu option that perfectly demonstrates the fused cuisines is the Patagonian Shrimp Tiradito, complementing an Argentinian delight with a unique Mexican corn sauce, Huitlacoche, which is known as corn mushroom or Mexican truffle. Meat aficionados, meanwhile, will want to order the likes of Asador rotisserie, Golden Butterfly’s Corn Fed Chicken, and grass-fed Sirloin. The latter is cooked on the Josper grill and served on a ‘Cow-grill’ plate, a makeshift grill that imitates the traditional way of cooking steak in the continent.

Unique to En Fuego is the first-of-its-kind Guacamole Altar, where guests can preach to the ‘green gold’. Taking inspiration from a traditional sushi counter, this concept showcases the different takes on the avocado dip, from ‘Rock Out With Your Guac Out’ (topped with roasted corn, cotija cheese and sour cream) to the ‘Smoking Guac’ (mixed with smoked avocado, fresh coriander, and roast poblano pepper). For those looking to enjoy one of En Fuego’s theatrical beverages in style, can take a seat at the showstopping carousel tequila bar. Mirroring the menu, the En Fuego team has curated a selection of cocktails and mocktails that celebrate the spirit of South America through ingredients such as guava, passion fruit, tamarillo, tamarind, and morita chilli (frequently used to infuse cocktails with an organic smoky flavour).
