Indie burger joint SLAW’s expansion has begun

The highly anticipated second branch is located in Al Barsha.

It’s been just over a year since its launch in Jumeirah, but homegrown burger concept SLAW already boasts a bit of a cult following, collecting awards and feeding over 80,000 burger addicts along the way. Now, it has set its sights on expansion – both locally and globally – starting with the Al Barsha vicinity.

With a capacity of 20 covers, this second outpost on Hessa Street features a cosy and relaxed atmosphere, with promises of the same high standard when it comes to food and the dining experience for patrons and newcomers alike. “We decided to open the second branch in Dubai as the demand for SLAW skyrocketed, and it was the perfect time to grab the opportunity to branch out,” said Chef Ali Yazdi, who’s better known as Mr. SLAW.

The strategic location of the new venue is not only a great way to reach loyalists, but also introduce it to those new to its signatures. Here, SLAW fans can look forward to the same sensational menu, as well as new and upcoming dishes that are exclusive to the Al Barsha branch. The brand prides itself on using fresh, premium and locally sourced ingredients, importing its pure low-fat US Angus beef patties and a selection of rare peppers (Mexico, Spain, Cuba, USA), for authentic fiery flavours.

To preserve the quality and consistency of favourites such as the Classic Chicken Sando, Nashville-style Fish Sando, and the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger, Yazdi himself oversees the entire production process behind the scenes. “We have a central kitchen, where everything gets prepared freshly under my close supervision and packed for the branches,” he explains. This guarantees that the burgers, fries, sandos, and all other specials are crafted with the highest standards, ensuring consistency every time.
