Dine with Dario Cecchini from Netflix’s Chef’s Table this weekend in Dubai

Contemporary steakhouse Carna by Dario Cecchini is officially open in Dubai.

Fans of the Netflix show Chef’s Table will likely remember legendary Italian butcher Dario Cecchini from his season six episode. The charismatic butcher, known for his use of obscure cuts and a passion for eliminating food wastage, will be in Dubai for the next five days.

In town to open Carna by Dario Cecchini, a contemporary steakhouse concept on the 74th floor of SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences, diners will have the opportunity to meet Dario Cecchini from 20 to 25 May 2021.

Carna’s meat-driven menu highlights prime and supreme cuts of the finest meat and focuses on natural, fresh ingredients. Implementing Cecchini’s wealth of wisdom and artistry, Carna in Dubai will honour the traditions and heritage of the art of butchery, whereby all cuts of meat are used for consumption and nothing is wasted.

Signature dishes on the Carna menu include the Chianti Sushi, Dario’s personal take on a tartare and The Bistecca alla Fiorentina, a porterhouse dish that initially propelled Dario Cecchini to fame. Adventurous diners can order the Bollito Cart, a cart of boiled meat served tableside. 

Carna also offers guests a selection of fresh seafood, including oysters, King Crab and a seafood tower ‘Fit for a King’, alongside an extensive selection of grape.

The restaurant showcases modern design elements paired with bold, earthy tones and colours. The dining area offers you a warm welcome, thanks to green, jade-like bricks coupled with velvet green banquettes. Carna also features an aging chamber where the finest cuts of beefs are proudly exhibited and a private dining room for intimate gatherings.

“I come from a small village in Tuscany, where my family have been butchers for 250 years, a trade that we pass on from father to son. I am the 8th generation, and I’ve been a butcher with pride for my whole life. To be here in Dubai, in this beautiful space known as Carna, is not just an honor for me, but a dream come true. I feel my dream has come true because I find my myself in an energetic heart of a city, surrounded by people that give me courage and joy and warmth. Carna brings the story of my family, the cuisine of my family and my family as a butcher, and this for me is an honour,” Dario Cecchini states.

SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences also features two sky-high infinity pools and several exciting food and beverage concepts, including EllaMia and the regions first female-led restaurant, Fi’lia.
