404 Riyadh: A cool new gaming café is coming to Riyadh

Enjoy bowling, billiards and board games.

404 Riyadh has got game. Lots of game. The new entertainment centre is opening in the Saudi capital, and includes old-school arcades, bowling, billiards and board games. 

Whether you want to take the kids or feel like a big kid, 404 Riyadh promises to be a family-friendly hotspot for gaming. So, if you’re looking for a fun-filled day, the venue is billing itself as the “it hangout spot in Riyadh”.

404 Riyadh’s TikTok account has been teasing us with what we can expect, as videos give us a sneak peak of what’s inside the venue. Guests can look forward to cool activities, ranging from basketball hoops to pool tables. Plus, you’ll be working up an appetite after all those games, so dig into the comfort food and drinks such as hot dogs, burgers, chicken wings, ice cream and milkshakes.

The creators behind the venue clearly have a sense of humour. 404 Riyadh derives its name from the 404 error message, which is displayed on browsers when an Internet address cannot be found. While the TikTok and Instagram accounts are entitled We Found 404. 

Ahead of the opening of 404 Riyadh, the creators are organising a treasure hunt experience in the capital. The trail takes you around the city and you will pick up clues along the way across cafés as well as restaurants. 

If you’re after more gaming fun, then check out Gamers8 – the festival in Riyadh is currently underway and runs until 8 September. The one-of-a-kind event is organised by Saudi Esports Federation and takes place in NXT LVL Arena in Riyadh Boulevard City. The festival welcomes international as well as local gamers, and includes e-sports competition. Plus, there’s the chance for you to play classic as well as new games.
