There are so many cafés and so little time, so we’re here to help. Jeddah has a buzzing coffee culture, which is brimming with exciting new openings. Whether you want to catch up with friends, work remotely or grab a drink to go, there’s a café to suit your needs. Here are the best new cafés in Jeddah. 

Beauti Artisanal Café

With a name like Beauti Artisanal Café, we’re expecting a beauty – and this definitely delivers. Located in the Red Sea Mall, the new restaurant in Jeddah is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast dishes include Avocado Toasted with Roasted Veggies, Classic French Toast and Shakshuka Skillet, plus a range of acai bowls and egg dishes. The menu also covers sandwiches, salads and sliders, and desserts ranging from a Lemon Blast to Lotus Madness. The interiors are jungle chic with hanging plants, potted plants and even leaf-patterned wallpaper, which is offset by the mustard colour sofas. Beautiful.

Bocu

Bocu gives sweet treats an upgrade, as everything from cakes to cookies have been turned up a notch. The counter is filled with decadent desserts: Raspberry Tarts with Mascarpone Cream, Vanilla and Caramel Cakes, and Milk Jivara Chocolate Mendiant. The minimalist monochrome design, with black and white tiles, let’s the desserts do the talking. The place clearly understands the splendour of a well-crafted cake, as we even spotted cakes on plinths, standing like works of art. So, pull up a mustard chair at one of the round tables or countertops, and leave room for dessert.

Chant Bistro 

If you think breakfast is the most important meal of the day, then you’ll want to put Chant Bistro on your restaurant radar. The breakfast menu includes Shakshuka, Truffle Scrambled Eggs, and Turkish Eggs with Labneh. Late risers, don’t worry – there is also a brunch menu with Avocado Ricotta Toast, Eggs Benedict and Fried Burrata Cheese. There are also salads, pastries and desserts, ranging from a Pistachio Raspberry Mousse Cake to Passion Fruit Pavlova. We’d recommend making a morning (and afternoon out of it), as the interiors are pretty, plush and pastel coloured.

Communal Café

As the name suggests, Communal Café in Jeddah is all about socialising. The motto is sip, nip and socialise. The menu covers sandwiches, desserts and speciality coffee. The sandwiches include Egg Salad, Miso Chicken and Smoked Turkey. The desserts feature French Toast coated in caramel sauce and Pancakes with three layers. Plus, there are cold drinks that range from Lychee Rose to Matcha and hot drinks that range from a Double Espresso to the coffee of the day.

Di Lava Café

While Di Lava Café has café in its title, you’d be mistaken for thinking that this was a high-end restaurant. Located in Al Andalus district, the venue oozes a fashionable aesthetic, which wouldn’t look out of place in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The interiors boast the brand’s gold logo, pretty plants, and emerald green walls and counters. The breakfast menu includes Avocado Tomato Benedict, Eggs Benedict and Omelette Steak. The all-day menu ranges from Bruschetta Funghi to Fish and Chips. The dessert menu ranges from Chocolate Brownies to Crunchy Praline. Plus, the drinks include coffees, teas and mocktail mojitos.

Duzo Café 

You’ll smell Duzo Bakery before you see it. The venue boasts lots of light, thanks to the high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. The name translates to plenty, and it delivers as it has plenty of sweet and savoury dishes. The savoury babkas range from Pesto Cheese to Turkey Mushroom, and the sweet babkas range from Cinnamon Dates to Chocolate Hazelnut. Plus, there are cakes, tarts and a fun mocktail list – Lavender Coconut, anyone? 

EL&N London

Cameras at the ready. One of the most Instagrammable cafés in the world has opened its first outlet in Jeddah: EL&N London. The King Abdulaziz Road branch is filled with the instantly recognisable design of pink walls, floral features and motivational neon signs. The drinks menu covers hot coffee, iced coffee, lemonade, frappe and mocktails. The food menu covers breakfast, brunch, toasties, burgers, wraps, sandwiches and desserts. 

Emmer Bakery 

If you thought banana bread was just for Covid, think again. Emmer Bakery is proud of its batch, and declares that everything is baked with love. The pasties include Chocolate Brioche, Pecan Croissants, Pretzels and Zaatar Croissants. Keto fans will be pleased to hear that there are keto-friendly breads, cookies and cakes. Plus, there are hot and iced coffees, juices and teas. The spacious venue spans two floors and has a bright, airy feel, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows and high ceilings. So, take a seat among the scattered plants or by shelves with ornaments, and sip the day away. 

Kawkab

If you like your coffee with cookies, then check out Kawkab. The new bakery serves classic coffees including an Americano, Cappuccino, Café Latte and Espresso. The snacks menu includes creative as well as classic flavours, from Apple Cinnamon Cookies and Carrot Cake Cookies to Chocolate Chip Cookies and Double Chocolate Cookies. The cosy spot is ideal for a pit stop, as you grab and go or sip from the pink seats. 

Noot 

When only healthy will do, head down to Noot in Jeddah. The café prides itself on blending local flavours with nutritious bites. The menu ranges from protein bowls to sandwiches, which include a Maple Sriracha Shrimp Bowl, Smoked Pastrami Sandwich and Sweet Soy Sesame Beef Bowl. Leave room for smoothies, which include a Green Apple Smoothie, Passion Fruit Mango Smoothie and Strawberry Banana Smoothie. 

Patisserie Mo Mashat

Do you have a sweet tooth? Well, you’ll be thrilled to hear that Patisserie Mo Mashat on Prince Sultan Road has opened. The new bakery draws inspiration from French classics. The menu includes cakes, ranging from a Chocolate Hazelnut Cake to a Raspberry Mille feuille (which is a bestseller). Plus, there are a range of croissants, macaroons and madeleines, all coming in different flavours.

Rise Café 

Thanks to its dreamy aesthetic, Rise Café is the sort of place you’d want to rise and shine. We’re talking cream-coloured walls, soft pillows and, most importantly, speciality coffee. The signature drinks range from a Passionfruit Mojito to a Peach Iced Tea. The hot beverages include firm favourites, from an Americano to Espresso and cool combinations, from Peach Persimmon Tea to Pineapple Peach Tea. Plus, there are decadent desserts including Honey Cake, Lotus Cheesecake and Saffron Milk Cake.

Row 

If you like your coffee from your car, then you’ll soon be excited by the upcoming Sunset Complex drive-through. We’re fans of the sleek beige design across the décor to drinks. If Row menus are anything to go by, the café will serve hot and cold drinks. Previous drinks range from Cappuccino to Cortado and Spanish Latte to Spanish Matcha. Dishes include Ajwa Cookies, Chocolate French Toast and sandwiches.

Sprout

Get a health kick at Sprout. The vibrant café is located in Al Zahra, and includes green tiles, chairs and plants, and positive slogans. One reads: “Looking for a sign you’re eating healthy, this is it.” The café specialises in salads, sandwiches, soups and soups. The menu includes a Keto Salad, Lime Shrimp and Grain Bowl and Wild Halloumi Sandwich. Plus, there is a selection of fresh juices, coffee and tea. 

Starbucks Reserve 

Okay, so we wouldn’t normally put a Starbucks on a list of the coolest cafés in Jeddah, but this isn’t any normal outlet. Starbucks Reserve sources its coffee beans from Arabica trees, and uses rare as well as diverse ones. The opening has been #trending, as it’s the first Starbucks Reserve in Jeddah. Plus, there are 16 different deserts.
