Italian restaurant San Carlo Cicchetti is coming to Khobar

The global brand is opening its third restaurant in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia’s restaurant scene is filled with new openings, from cool cafés to celebrity chefs. Now, the famous Italian restaurant San Carlo Cicchetti is coming to Al Khobar. The brand already has a restaurant in Jeddah and Riyadh, and this will be its first in Khobar. 

San Carlo Cicchetti will be located in Al Hizam, Al Thahabi. The restaurant prides itself on creating Italian favourites, from pizza to pastas, in a relaxed yet refined environment. The menu draws its inspiration from Cicchetti bars in Venice, which generally serve medium-sized dishes for sharing. So far, we know that the Khobar venue will serve a similar menu to its sister restaurants in the kingdom. 

The specials of the day include an Italian Mac N Cheese, which is made with Italian Provolone cheese, bechamel and mozzarella cheese; Goccia Di Ricotta, which is an oven-baked goat ricotta cheese with tomatoes and served on bruschetta bread; and Ravioli Seabass and Prawns, which includes small handmade ravioli filled with seabass and prawns.

The main menu includes salads, soups, pasta, pizza, meat, fish and vegetables. The pizzas include a Diavola, Margherita and Pizza Burrata. The pastas include Lasagne Al Forno, Risotto Funghi and Truffle and Pecorino Ravioli. Plus, fans of Italian desserts will be pleased to hear that there is Panna Cotta, Tiramisu and a range of gelato as well as sorbet flavours.

In 1992, San Carlo Cicchetti first opened in Birmingham, England. Since then, it has opened in Bristol, Leicester, Manchester and London, before expanding globally. The brand can be found in Bangkok, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar, and now across Saudi Arabia. Plus, it is nominated in the first-ever FACT Dining Awards Riyadh 2023.
