The café concept from the FACT award-winning restaurant brand is coming to Bayfront on Al Khobar Corniche.
Al Khobar’s waterfront is getting a little French Riviera flair. Le Café LPM is set to open at Bayfront on Al Khobar Corniche, bringing a new side of La Petite Maison to the Eastern Province. Following the café concept’s success in Dubai and London, the Saudi address will combine French Mediterranean food with a more casual approach to dining.
The original La Petite Maison launched in London in 2007 and has since grown into an international restaurant brand, with addresses in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Hong Kong, Miami and Riyadh. Its identity draws on the cooking of the Côte d’Azur and the wider Mediterranean, with seafood, seasonal vegetables, olive oil and citrus central to the kitchen.
Le Café LPM takes that heritage into a format suited to everyday visits. The concept already has a home in Jumeirah, Dubai, while its London outpost occupies The Lanesborough for a year-long residency. The emphasis is on dropping in for coffee, catching up over lunch or settling around a table as the evening unfolds.
Al Khobar’s full menu has yet to be revealed, but the sister cafés offer a useful indication of the culinary direction. In Dubai, mornings feature butter croissants, orange blossom brioche, eggs and tartines. Lunch brings Niçoise salad, a veal ham Croque Monsieur and marinated prawns with chilli, garlic and citrus. More substantial choices include grilled chicken, steak frites and Dover sole with lemon brown butter. Dessert is equally familiar territory, with dark chocolate mousse finished with sea salt and a classic crème caramel.
The Bayfront opening also builds on La Petite Maison’s FACT award-winning presence in Riyadh. With its Corniche setting and focus on welcoming guests throughout the day, Le Café LPM will give Al Khobar diners another way to discover the brand, this time beside the water.
