The seasonal event runs until April 2026.
Global City Dammam arrives with cooler weather and a full season of things to see and do. Created in line with Vision 2030, the destination aims to position Dammam as a cultural and tourism hub while giving residents and visitors a reason to stay outdoors all winter. The scale is striking. Spanning more than 800,000 square metres, the site brings together country pavilions, entertainment zones, dining courts and dedicated retail streets in one place.
The first phase focuses on 16 countries. Expect open-air theatres, nightly shows, and a floating restaurant on an artificial lake billed as the largest of its kind in the region. Future additions are planned throughout the season, including a water park and a multi-use Global Arena designed for concerts, exhibitions, and major cultural programming.
A big draw is the chance to roam the world in an afternoon. Country pavilions showcase culture, crafts, music and fashion, with several featuring heritage displays that recreate traditional homes. Nations without a full build-out are represented in the House of the World, a curated hall for handmade crafts, tech products, and design items.
After dark, the Light Festival takes over with a multicultural lantern display. Each installation is inspired by a different part of the world, from classic Chinese motifs to Middle Eastern patterns, making the entire experience as photogenic as it is family-friendly. Thrill seekers can head for the Carnival Zone and its fairground favourites. There are Ferris wheel views, spinning pendulums, bumper cars, mini coasters for younger guests, face painting and arcade games.
Stages across the site will host performers from around the globe. Line-ups are being finalised, though audiences can look forward to Bollywood dance, Japanese Taiko drumming and Jordanian Dabke. Shopping ranges from traditional souks to modern retail streets, while a Thai-inspired floating market sells handmade soaps and wellness products directly from boats.
Food is handled by a dedicated Street Food Zone. Expect a global roster of favourites, including biryani, baklava, satay, and sushi, plus plenty of quick snacks for on-the-go grazing. With long evenings and mild temperatures, Global City Dammam is set to be a seasonal staple.
