Critically-acclaimed Café Boulud is coming to Saudi Arabia  

French chef Daniel Boulud brings the restaurant to Riyadh.

Saudi Arabia is fast becoming a dining destination. Now, it’s about to get more exciting, thanks to the launch of restaurateur Daniel Boulud’s Café Boulud in Riyadh. Scheduled to open at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre in September, here’s what you need to know. 

Chef Daniel hails from Lyon, France, and he was raised on his family’s farm in the village of Saint-Pierre-de-Chandieu. As the name suggests, he is the mastermind behind Café Boulud. He has opened restaurants across the world in the Bahamas, Dubai, Montreal and Singapore. Plus, Café Boulud can already be found in cities, from New York to the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto.

Café Boulud celebrates the chef’s French roots. Drawing inspiration from his grandmother’s cooking, it promises a fine dining experience. In previous versions of the restaurant, there is a range of signature dishes. The options include a Canard Rotisserie with duck, plums and salad; Tartare De Boeuf with beef tartare, quail egg and toasted baguette; Octopus with red Thai curry sauce and coconut; and Warm Madeleines. 

The Danielicious Lunch menu can be found at other Café Boulud restaurants across the globe. The three-course menu covers starters, mains and desserts. The menu is seasonal and the current dishes include a Poulet rotisserie chicken salad, and Lemon Sole and Risotto with mushrooms.

Café Boulud in Riyadh will join an extensive restaurant list at Four Seasons in Riyadh. The hotel’s restaurants include Elements Artisinal Bakery for baked goods; The Grill for meat and seafood; Obaya for international cuisine; and Pierre Hermé for pastries.
