Fantastic fine dining Japanese restaurant Nozomi Riyadh reopens

The sophisticated new venue is coming to the capital’s Olaya.

Does the sound of sushi get your mouth watering? Well, put the new contemporary Japanese restaurant, Nozomi Riyadh, on your radar. The brand is opening a new venue, and here’s how you can get a chopstick full of fine dining food.

Nozomi means wish and desire in Japanese, and our foodie dreams are coming true, as the restaurant returns to Riyadh. The brand was previously in the capital’s Al Sulimaniyah, and has now moved to Olaya.

Nozomi Riyadh shared on Instagram: “Nozomi is back in our beloved Riyadh in a new prime location with one thing in mind: providing a unique dining experience.” So far, we know that the Nozomi Riyadh will have a new, high-end look and feel.

The restaurant prides itself on its critically acclaimed cuisine, which uses premium ingredients. If the Khobar menu is anything to go by, we’re expecting top-notch small plates, sushi, sashimi, salads and more.

The marinated signature dishes include Bluefin Tuna Tartare, Marinated Yellowtail and Seared Salmon Tataki. The robata chargrilled dishes include Beef Tenderloin, Chicken Binchotan and Wagyu Sando. The Wagyu beef, which comes from Queensland, Australia, is grade nine and served with ponzu and truffle sauce. Plus, the desserts span Matcha Zen Garden, Miso Cheesecake and Mochi.

We’re hoping that the Riyadh venue mirrors the Khobar venue and hosts live entertainment – we’re talking acts ranging from DJs to drummers. Recently, the Khobar venue welcomed saxophonist Taras Olinyk and violinist Zaki Alnunu.

Nozomi Riyadh is open for bookings from 28 February. The venue is open from Saturday to Wednesday from 1pm to midnight, and Thursday and Friday from 1pm to 1am.
