Celebrity favourite Emmy Squared is opening in Jeddah Yacht Club

The signature dishes range from square pizzas to Le Big Matt burger. 

Who said that pizzas have to be round or slices? Emmy Squared Pizza has been switching things up in the USA and UAE with its square-shaped pizzas. Now, it is opening its first restaurant in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Yacht Club, as part of a joint venture with Cool Inc. 

Jeddah brings a touch of New York to The Red Sea. The restaurant prides itself on creating wood-fired, Detroit-style pizzas, which are also known as pies. So far, we’re expecting Emmy Squared to be a hip hangout. We’re talking exposed brick walls, tiled floors, and leather as well as brass accents. 

Judging by its previous restaurants, we’re expecting the menu to include starters, salads, sandwiches, burgers and desserts. Pizzas include Burrata Margherita with burrata and basil, Deluxe with sausage, pepper and mushrooms, The Classic with sauce and mozzarella, and Roni Supreme with Italian beef pepperoni and Calabrian chillies. 

It’s not just about pizzas. Le Big Matt is one of the restaurant’s signature dishes, and has notched up accolades. The burger is made up of 150 grams of black Angus beef patty, American cheese, Sammy sauce, greens, pickles, and is served on a pretzel bun. 

Emmy Squared Pizza gets its name from its owner, Emily Hyland. In 2016, the restaurant opened its first location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The brand has expanded across the United States, and opened its first international location in Abu Dhabi.

Emmy Squared Pizza Jeddah will open its doors on Wednesday, 10 May.
