Social Shot in Jeddah is a new avant-garde restaurant

The arty venue includes plush paintings, live music and a European-inspired menu.

If you’re after a dining experience with a difference, then head to Social Shot in Jeddah. The new restaurant is an arty space, which feels like you’re entering Mary Antoinette’s bedroom – that is, if she was a Gen Z-er today. 

Social Shot’s décor is a cross between a steampunk fancy dress party and a Venetian palace. The dimly lit space includes black chandeliers with red lanterns, Old Master-style paintings on the wall, leather sofas and plush banquettes – we spotted a gold one, no less. 

The Insta-friendly venue has plenty of picture-perfect moments, from dishes served with dry ice to playful slogans on the wall. One framed slogan declares, “you’re not like other girls”. Look out for live music nights with performers ranging from saxophonists to singers. Plus, it recently welcomed a Cuban band. 

Social Shot in Jeddah serves European cuisine and the food menu spans appetisers, salads, soups, mains, pizzas and pastas. The mains include Beef Cheeks, Chimichurri Steak, Creamy Mustard Chicken, Roast Lamb Chunks and Salmon Wellington.

The pizzas cover Alfredo Chicken, Burrata, Margarita, Mixed Cheese and Vegetarian. The pastas cover Fettuccine, Fusilli Salsa Rosa, Penne Pesto, Spaghetti Pomodoro and Telegatli Shrimp. Plus, there are plenty of classic dessert options including Crème Brulee, New York Cheesecake and Pana Cotta au Chocolat.  

The drinks include fun mocktails and four flavoured Mojitos, from mixed berry to passion fruit. Plus, there is a shisha menu with 12 different flavours – berry, grape and pomegranate, anyone?

Social Shot in Jeddah is open daily from 4pm to 2am. Have your cake.
