The highly anticipated Jeddah EDITION will open on 2 May
Saudi Arabia’s hip hotel will be home to a rooftop bar, pool and views.
There’s one in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, London, Miami, New York, and soon enough, Jeddah. We’re talking about the uber-trendy EDITION Hotels. The hotel group has announced that The Jeddah EDITION will officially open on Thursday, 2 May and here’s what you can expect from the first EDITION property in the Kingdom.
The Jeddah EDITION is located on the Jeddah Corniche, next to the Yacht Club & Marina and Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The hotel offers easy access to Jeddah’s city centre and Red Sea Mall. As for the venue itself, it boasts 52 rooms and 11 suites, including two penthouses, a signature restaurant, a lobby lounge, a rooftop bar and a penthouse terrace. Plus, facilities include a fitness centre and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
The brand is a partnership between Ian Schrager and Marriott International. The first EDITION Hotel launched in Hawaii in 2010, and there are now 20 properties across 10 countries. EDITION Hotels prides itself on being a microcosm of a city, and the focus is on creating a personalised experience. So, a hotel that does not act like a hotel, which is a destination for locals as well as international visitors.
If other EDITION Hotels are anything to go by, we expect The Jeddah EDITION to be a hip hotspot. The on-trend hotels often adopt a less is more approach, which have a minimalist yet sophisticated feel. Other EDITION Hotels are famous for their thoughtfully designed interiors, for example LW Design Group are behind The Dubai EDITION and Wimberly Interiors are behind The Abu Dhabi EDITION.
Room rates begin at SAR 2,250 per night, with bookings available starting from Friday, 2 May. This will be the first EDITION Hotel in Saudi Arabia and the third in the Middle East. The Red Sea EDITION is scheduled to open in late 2025 and will be located on the Red Sea Project’s Shaura Island. The property will feature 240 rooms, two restaurants, a bar, a beach club, a pool, and a spa. The Riyadh EDITION is also on the way.
