Three Accor properties to open in the Rua Al Madinah megaproject

Fairmont, Novotel and Swissôtel will bring over 1000 keys to the sacred city.

World-renowned hospitality group Accor is joining forces with Rua Al Madinah Holding Company in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The partnership promises to develop three properties as part of the Rua Al Madinah megaproject. The collaboration will introduce a diverse range of hospitality options to the city from Fairmont, Novotel and Swissôtel. 

The Fairmont Rua Al Madinah will provide guests with exceptional living spaces and a high-end design inspired by traditional Madinah architecture. The property will offer 142 spacious rooms and suites with views of the Masjid al Nabawi, the Prophet’s Mosque, as well as a variety of dining venues, an exclusive guest lounge, a kids club, a fitness centre, and a spa. Additionally, the property will feature 120 branded residences, combining the comfort of home with hotel services, making it the first branded residence project of its kind in Madinah.

Next up is the majestic Swissôtel, which boasts 466 rooms, suites, and apartments with a direct view of the Prophet’s Mosque. The hotel will offer premium products and venues, including an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop lounge, meeting and event spaces, a spa, and a fitness centre. The design will combine contemporary aesthetics with elements inspired by Madinah’s rich cultural heritage, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity.

Last, but not the least, Novotel offers guests a direct connection to the Prophet’s Mosque through a pedestrian pathway. The property will include 328 hotel rooms designed with modern comfort in mind, along with an all-day dining restaurant and a social hub featuring a food bar and grab-go concept. Together, these exceptional properties will redefine the hospitality landscape, offering an enchanting haven for travellers seeking unforgettable experiences.

The Rua Al Madinah megaproject encompasses an extensive master plan spanning over 1.5 million square metres of space, providing direct views of the Prophet’s Mosque. Its design also ensures a blend of aesthetics and functionality with 63 per cent dedicated to open areas and 37 per cent thoughtfully allocated to structures. To enhance accessibility, the project boasts several transportation solutions, including nine strategically placed bus stops catering to visitors’ convenience and underground parking to keep the surroundings pristine. This visionary development is not only set to attract a diverse array of visitors, including pilgrims, tourists, and business travellers, but it also aims to provide a comprehensive experience that caters to their spiritual, cultural, and recreational needs.
