The celebrated Los Angeles concept sails into The Ritz-Carlton, Jeddah with a coastal menu and live entertainment.
Dining in Jeddah continues to raise the bar, and the latest arrival proves it. Adrift Mare, the Los Angeles-born concept by chef David Myers, has taken over the first floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Jeddah, for a limited-time pop-up that blends Mediterranean soul with the spirit of the Red Sea coast. The setting is refined yet easygoing, with sun-washed hues, elegant textures and Ritz-Carlton polish shaping a space that suits celebratory dinners as much as relaxed evenings with friends.
The atmosphere balances energy and ease. Live entertainment sets a convivial rhythm while the service keeps things calm and considered. The intention is clear. This is not themed dining. It is a polished coastal escape that happens to sit inside one of the city’s grandest hotels.
On the plate, Adrift Mare is framed as a “love letter to the Mediterranean coast”. Chef David Myers describes the dishes as “bright, soulful, and kissed by the grill,” and the menu follows through. Expect handmade pastas with clean, expressive flavours, wood-fired meats that showcase smoke and tenderness, and seafood treated with care and restraint.
Signatures include crispy calamari, a buttery lobster roll, a crisp feta salad, arrabbiata farfalle, a juicy beef filet kebab and king prawns finished with a lick of the grill. Portions are generous without tipping into excess, and there is a pleasing balance between indulgence and freshness.
Myers, popularly known as the Gypsy Chef, has long channelled travel into his cooking. With restaurants spanning Los Angeles, Singapore, and Tokyo the through-line is curiosity and connection. In Jeddah, that narrative finds a natural home, pairing cosmopolitan sensibilities with a city that celebrates heritage and the sea. The result feels both international and rooted, an edit of Mediterranean classics filtered through a modern, coastal lens.
Adrift Mare at The Ritz-Carlton, Jeddah is a limited engagement, running until 12 February 2026. If you are looking for a dinner that delivers polish, personality and a little seaside romance, this is the reservation to make.
