Kayzo is opening in Jeddah soon.
The restaurant comes to the Red Sea city after a successful run in Riyadh.
An opening date is yet to be announced.
Riyadh favourite KAYZŌ is heading to Jeddah, and here’s what you can expect.
Jeddah has never exactly struggled with dining. The Red Sea city has a vast array of restaurants, cafés and new places to eat, and unlike Riyadh, it has never really felt the need to shout about it. But now, one of the capital’s popular dining spots is heading west. KAYZŌ is opening in Jeddah, bringing its contemporary take on Japanese cuisine to the city.
KAYZŌ Jeddah will be setting up shop at Westfield, the new lifestyle destination in the Al Muhammadiyah district. Located on King Abdulaziz Road, the restaurant will be well placed for diners exploring the new destination and those looking for a new Japanese restaurant in Jeddah.
If KAYZŌ’s Riyadh outpost is anything to go by, the Jeddah restaurant should keep things sleek and contemporary. The branch is expected to take its cues from Japanese minimalism, with a royal blue palette running across the walls and upholstery, balanced by natural wooden tabletops. The overall idea is a less formal Japanese restaurant and more of a stylish, social dining room.
The menu at KAYZŌ takes inspiration from Japanese street food, while incorporating an East-meets-West sensibility and plenty of dishes made for sharing. While the exact Jeddah menu has yet to be confirmed, the Riyadh restaurant gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect — such as Volcano Shrimp, Japanese Chicken Sando, Marinated Yellowtail, Marinated Beef Tataki, Crispy Duck Salad, Wagyu Beef Sliders, Veal Katsu, Chansan Maki, Kimchee Fried Rice and much more.

Jeddah already has a food scene that can hold its own, but there is always room for another restaurant worth knowing about. With its Japanese street-food inspiration, shareable plates, and polished yet relaxed setting, Kayzo Jeddah looks set to bring a slightly different energy to Westfield. An opening date has not yet been announced, but if Japanese food is your thing, this is one spot to keep on your radar.
