YUBI Handroll Bar is expanding into Saudi Arabia with its first restaurant in Jeddah.
Dubai’s homegrown dining scene continues to expand across the region, with YUBI Handroll Bar becoming the latest UAE-born restaurant concept to enter Saudi Arabia. The popular Japanese handroll destination is set to open its first Saudi location in Jeddah, joining a growing list of Dubai restaurants expanding into the Kingdom.
According to Caterer Middle East, YUBI Handroll Bar is preparing to launch in the Red Sea city, although the restaurant’s exact location and opening date have yet to be announced. The new venue will bring the brand’s signature Japanese-inspired dining experience to one of Saudi Arabia’s fastest-growing food destinations.

The Jeddah restaurant will be backed by Chef Reif Othman and 7 Management, the team behind YUBI’s success in Dubai. Known for blending Japanese cuisine with street culture, music, fashion, and contemporary design, YUBI Handroll Bar has built a strong following for its creative approach to sushi and immersive dining atmosphere.
Guests can expect the same counter-style experience that made the Dubai location popular, with handrolls prepared fresh to order in front of diners. Beyond its signature handrolls, the menu features Japanese favourites including sashimi, nigiri, salads, and hot dishes, offering a modern take on traditional Japanese dining.
YUBI specialises in handrolls, a simple yet versatile style of sushi made with nori, rice, and fresh fillings. The concept encourages guests to enjoy sushi by hand, with menu options ranging from classic salmon and tuna combinations to premium creations featuring ingredients such as scallop and foie gras.

The opening of YUBI Handroll Bar Jeddah marks Chef Reif Othman’s first venture in Saudi Arabia. The Singaporean chef is widely recognised for creating some of Dubai’s most popular Japanese-inspired restaurants, including the FACT award-winning REIF Japanese Kushiyaki and TER. His latest expansion reflects the growing demand for innovative dining concepts across the Gulf.
YUBI Handroll Bar’s move into Saudi Arabia is part of a wider international expansion strategy, with reported plans to enter markets including Egypt and Romania. As Jeddah’s restaurant scene continues to evolve, YUBI’s arrival is set to introduce a fresh, modern approach to Japanese dining for sushi lovers in the city.
