Joe and The Juice in Riyadh: Cool café opens its first branch

The world-famous juice bar is opening in Diriyah Gate.

We have some juicy news: there’s a new Joe and The Juice in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The healthy juice bar, which has a cult following that includes us at FACT, is famed for its super smoothies. As it brings its hip concept to the kingdom for the first time, here’s what to expect from the new venue.

Loved for its freshly prepared coffee, shakes, juices and sandwiches, Joe and The Juice in Riyadh aims to be the go-to spot for the cool kids in the capital. Located in the historic region, Diriyah Gate, we’re expecting the venue to serve a range of juices. Not only are the juices always made to order with top-notch ingredients, but the brand is committed to taking a sustainable approach.

Signature drinks include the Power Shake (made with strawberry, banana, and vanilla milk) and vegan Blue Magic (made with blue spirulina, avocado, protein, dates, lemon, and oat-coconut). Food highlights include salad bowls, breakfast bowls, plant-based options, and a variety of sandwiches. The signature Joe’s Club features chicken, avocado and vegan pesto, while the Spicy Tuna is made with tuna mousse, jalapenos and vegan pesto.

Those who need a caffeine kick can choose from hot and cold drinks, with premium blends and coffee beans sourced from Uganda and Guatemala. Crowd favourites include the Joe’s Iced Vanilla Latte and Iced Matcha Latte, both perfect for a hot summer’s day. 

Joe and The Juice boasts humble beginnings, as it started with one store in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2002. Today, the brand has more than 300 cafes in 16 countries across the world, and is planning to expand in the Middle East. Two new branches arrived in Dubai, and a third is on its way on 27 September. Plus, there are plans to open 200 to 300 juice bars over the next two years, and expand in Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.
