Mark your calendars for the launch of COYA Riyadh

The new outpost is set for a February 2022 opening.

If you live in Riyadh and love Peruvian cuisine, listen up – a permanent outpost of COYA in the city is no longer a pipe dream. Following an incredible response to the recent COYA Saudi Arabia pop-ups, the award-winning restaurant is set to launch one of its biggest branches in the Saudi capital. This means residents and guests of the country can enjoy signature COYA dishes overlooking Sulaimaniya District once COYA Riyadh opens its doors come February 2022. Incidentally, COYA opened its first restaurant in London back in 2012, and the brand now has multiple award-winning venues spread across the globe – Paris, Monte Carlo, Mykonos, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha included.

The new restaurant in Riyadh will be led by General Manager Marco Di Pietro, who was previously responsible for the COYA Jeddah and COYA Riyadh pop-ups. Commenting on the launch, he said, “We are extremely excited to bring the taste of COYA to Saudi Arabia through our new permanent location. Focusing on a family-focused atmosphere, COYA Riyadh will be a glitzy addition to Saudi Arabia’s fine-dining scene.” Stefano Pizzini, Middle East Operations Manager of COYA, added, “Following highly acclaimed pop-ups in Riyadh and Jeddah, we felt a need in the Saudi Arabia dining scene for an authentic experience that focuses on Peruvian cuisine. COYA Riyadh was a result of the overwhelming response we received from our customers to open a venue in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

COYA Riyadh

Promising COYA’s signature ambiance and famous vibes – plus a number of tantalising dishes that are unique to the brand – the luxurious new outpost will keep guests entertained through curated beats from COYA Music, the brand’s own international music label. Featuring a live, open Ceviche Counter and an indoor terrace with a DJ corner in addition to the main dining area and outdoor garden terrace, COYA in the Saudi capital translates into a unique aesthetic with a cultural touch. As for its most distinct feature? The indoor dining area under the veranda, where a variety of elements have been used to create a warm and luscious environment.

To make the most of its glamorous location, COYA Riyadh also features a garden terrace, bringing to life the Peruvian culture. The space is slated to host al fresco dining experiences throughout the year due to its pergola providing the guests a sense of dining outdoors in lavish settings. And with additional plans in works to adorn the restaurant with the signature COYA identity, COYA Riyadh is set to host events and celebrations that will diversify the city’s already dynamic calendar.
