MDLBeast Soundstorm 2026 has been postponed, with the Riyadh mega-festival taking a pause before returning in 2027.
The beast is pressing pause. MDLBeast Soundstorm 2026 will no longer take place this year, as organisers have officially announced the postponement of the 2026 edition. Originally scheduled from 3 to 4 December 2026, the region’s largest music festival will no longer transform Banban into its usual desert playground of music, lights and late-night energy this December.
The announcement was made via Instagram with a post reading: ” We know we said we’d see you at Soundstorm this year, so this is not the update we wanted to share. With regret, this year’s Soundstorm will not take place as planned. Soundstorm has always been about big sound, big experiences, bringing the artists, the stages, the people and the moments that make the festival what it is. We will turn all our excitement and energy to the 2027 edition, and come back better and stronger. In the meantime, check out all our upcoming events on mdlbeast.com and the nofomo app. Thank you for your never-ending support, and next is more!:
Since launching in 2019, MDLBeast Soundstorm has grown into a cornerstone of the region’s music scene. The multi-stage festival has helped put Riyadh firmly on the global tour map, bringing together international stars, regional names and local acts on the outskirts of the capital. Set on the outskirts of the Saudi capital, the festival has become known for its supersized production, genre-spanning line-ups and crowds that arrive ready to party.
Soundstorm’s track record speaks for itself. Over the years, the stages have hosted heavyweights including A$AP Rocky, Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled, Eminem, Linkin Park, Martin Garrix, Muse, Post Malone, The Roots and Thirty Seconds To Mars. Recent line-ups kept that standard high with appearances from Anyma, Benson Boone, Cardi B, Metro Boomin, Pitbull and Swedish House Mafia. Crossing everything from hip-hop and pop to rock, EDM and Arabic tracks, it has become known for bringing one of the most diverse music line-ups to the region.
What happens next for MDLBeast Soundstorm?
MDLBeast confirmed the postponement in an official update, noting that Soundstorm 2026 will not proceed as scheduled. Instead, the team is turning its attention entirely towards the 2027 festival to ensure a stronger comeback.
