Ministry of Sound is heading to Riyadh. The legendary UK dance music brand will make its debut in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Friday, 7 August 2026, marking a major moment for the country’s growing electronic music scene.
The announcement comes as Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its position as one of the region’s most exciting destinations for live entertainment. From large-scale festivals and desert raves to international DJ sets and immersive nightlife concepts, the Kingdom has rapidly become a key player in the Middle East’s music calendar. Now, Ministry of Sound is joining the mix.
The Riyadh event will be staged in collaboration with Desert Paradise, a Saudi-based concept known for bringing high-energy electronic music experiences to the capital. Previous editions have taken place at Saudi Media City in Al Qirawan, combining outdoor settings with large-scale production, lighting and sound. With the summer heat in mind, organisers have yet to reveal the final venue for the Ministry of Sound debut.
Founded in London in 1991, Ministry of Sound began as a nightclub inspired by New York’s house music scene. It soon became one of the most influential names in dance music, helping to shape club culture in the UK and beyond. Over the years, it has expanded into a global brand, record label and events powerhouse, with compilation albums such as The Annual becoming staples for generations of dance music fans.
Its arrival in Saudi Arabia reflects the rapid evolution of the Kingdom’s entertainment landscape. International artists, festival brands and club concepts are increasingly looking to Riyadh, Jeddah and AlUla as destinations for major regional moments. Ministry of Sound’s debut adds further weight to that shift, bringing a recognised name with deep roots in electronic music culture.
