HALO Space lifts off with adventure, culture and food activities.

Space no longer feels like the final frontier. Everyone from Jeff Bezos to Katy Perry has flown to space. HALO Space has unveiled its ten-year plan to make commercial near-space flights a reality, with launches set to take place from Saudi Arabia – a first for the country.

HALO Space’s tagline is “space is for everyone”. The company made the announcement at the inaugural TOURISE Summit in Riyadh and has already completed five successful test flights of its Aurora capsule, reaching altitudes of up to 121,000 feet.

Saudi Arabia will now become the company’s first commercial base, with three potential launch sites currently under review. Each location promises spectacular views, from sweeping desert dunes to coastal horizons, and will combine luxury hospitality with HALO Hospitality – a curated programme blending adventure, culture, gastronomy and wellness.

The HALO Space experience will span a seven-day flight window, giving the team enough time to select the perfect launch day and allowing guests to immerse themselves in local experiences. The flight itself will last between four and six hours, depending on weather conditions. Training requirements will be minimal, with a short orientation at the base before take-off.

Chief Executive Carlos Mira brings over 30 years of international leadership experience in defence, aerospace and technology. At the summit, he unveiled plans for Stratospheric Re-entry Vehicles, designed to glide safely back to runways by 2032. By 2030, HALO expects to have flown over 1,000 passengers, rising to 15,000 by 2035.
