Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Arts Exhibition’s theme explores social change.
The Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Arts Exhibition is hosting its latest Summer Exhibition. Art enthusiasts and the public are invited to explore a compelling showcase of creative talent at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Arts Hall in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Running until 29 August, here’s what to expect.
Organised by the Misk Art Institute, the exhibition offers free entry. The displays includes 43 Saudi and Saudi-based artists. Each artwork reflects their personal and collective narratives, traversing heritage, cultural hybridity, nostalgia, migration, and resilience. Their works span diverse artistic practices and thoughtfully communicate ideas about the intersection of tradition and modernity.
Highlights of the exhibition include thought-provoking installations and mixed-media works that explore storytelling through visual art, innovative uses of language, and symbolism and heritage through art.
This is the third edition of the annual summer exhibition. This year’s theme is The Intergenerational Lens of Social Change. The theme explores dialogues about family history, communal values, the wisdom of elders, and its impact on evolving identities and societal transformation.
Misk Art Institute emphasises its commitment to nurturing local talent, providing a platform for artists, and promoting discussions in the art world. Since its inception in 2023, the annual summer exhibition has become a platform for exploring creative expression in the Kingdom. It has enabled artists at all levels to pave the way for cultural continuity, identity and social narratives. And, all as a means of cultural empowerment.
