Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea is rapidly developing into one of the Kingdom’s most ambitious luxury tourism destinations. Now, AMAALA has welcomed another major arrival with the official opening of Jayasom Wellness Resort, AMAALA, a flagship integrative wellness retreat designed around personalised health, longevity and sustainable living.

Located at Triple Bay, the resort combines evidence-based practices with holistic therapies and wellness traditions from Saudi Arabia, the Middle East and further afield. Its name is derived from “Jay”, meaning heart, and “Asom”, meaning place, reflecting the concept of creating “a place for the heart”. In total, the luxury resort will feature 153 rooms and 24 residences.

At the centre of the experience are more than 200 therapies and treatments, organised across six pillars: Traditional and Holistic Health, Physio Relief and Recovery, Strength & Mobility, Spa & Hydrotherapy, Aesthetic & Clinical, and Nutrition & Vitality. Guests can explore treatments ranging from sound therapy and Traditional Arab and Eastern practices to Watsu flotation, healing mineral pools and ICAROS immersive movement.

The resort is divided into two complementary experiences. Jayana is an adults-only wellness retreat, while Jayela has been created specifically for families, with dedicated spaces and programmes for infants, children and teenagers. Shared activities are also available for families looking to explore wellness together.

Spanning more than 7,000 square metres, the facilities encompass health and physiotherapy suites, fitness and movement studios, mindfulness and energy work spaces, a therapeutic spa, and minimally invasive aesthetic medicine backed by U.S. FDA-approved technologies. The resort will also champion TAIM (Traditional Arab and Islamic Medicine), an integrative healing tradition centred on balance, prevention, and harmony across body, mind, and spirit. These evidence-informed protocols will draw on centuries of regional knowledge, from herbal remedies and nutrition to emotional and spiritual practices, reinterpreted for today’s global traveller.

Personalisation is central to Jayasom’s approach. Its signature Essence of Jayasom programme is guided by a dedicated Wellness Advisor, who helps shape the experience around each guest’s physical and emotional goals. Further programmes include As a Family, which focuses on multi-generational wellbeing; As a Pair, designed around connection; As a Woman, supporting hormonal health and vitality; and As a Leader, aimed at restoring resilience, balance and mental clarity. The detoxification programme As a Feather and the movement-focused As a Flow will also form part of the offering.

Food plays an equally important role. Wellness Advisors work alongside the kitchen team to tailor meals to individual goals, focusing on healthy, plant-based cuisine. Seasonal ingredients are supplied by the resort’s Farm Belt, while fermentation, pickling and specialist beverage programmes add another dimension. Guests can also visit the Nakeha cooking studio for experiences including pickling and fermentation classes.

The surroundings are also integral to the retreat. Nature-inspired architecture incorporates Saudi and Middle Eastern influences, local craftsmanship and storytelling, while the Red Sea landscape provides a backdrop for relaxation and outdoor wellbeing.

“Jayasom was born from a belief that wellness is a practice – grounded in presence, learning and the quiet courage to be still”. “At AMAALA, we provide the space and support to restore balance, breathe deeply and reconnect with wisdom – ancient and modern, personal and shared. Our commitment is to deliver wellness with integrity and compassion, empowering guests to carry forward habits that enrich their lives long after they return home”, said Karen Campbell, CEO of Jayasom.

The opening marks another milestone for AMAALA, which welcomed its first resort in summer 2026. Developed by Red Sea Global, the destination will ultimately feature more than 1,600 hotel rooms across nine resorts, alongside restaurants, retail, wellness facilities, the Corallium Marine Life Institute and AMAALA Yacht Club.

With bookings now open, Jayasom Wellness Resort, AMAALA blends evidence-based medicine, holistic healing, and Traditional Arab and Islamic Medicine into a luxury setting dedicated to multi-generational wellbeing and light-footprint living that guests can integrate into everyday life long after leaving the Red Sea.

We can’t wait to check in.
