Red Sea Global brings Bear Grylls Survival Academy to Saudi Arabia

The TV personality is bringing his adventure experience to the Kingdom.

The Red Sea is welcoming exciting hotels, from luxury resorts to international brands. Now, it is mixing things up, as it has announced that the Bear Grylls Survival Academy will make its debut in Saudi Arabia.

The Red Sea and Amaala have announced that they will become the exclusive agents for Bear Grylls Survival Academy. The partnership aims to offer outdoor enthusiasts team-building exercises, wilderness education and survival skills. The experiences will be open for all guests, including those with disabilities and special needs. Plus, it aims to hire local leaders for the academy.

What makes Bear Grylls Survival Academy unique is that it has been designed by the man himself. Bear Grylls is a British adventurer and TV personality. He hails from Donaghadee, Northern Ireland. From an early age, he had a passion for the outdoors and learned to climb, sail and skydive. His TV shows include Man Vs. Wild, Running Wild With Bear Grylls and The Island With Bear Grylls. Plus, he was previously a soldier in the British Special Forces.

John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, explained: “Bear Grylls is known the world over for his exhilarating and adrenaline-pumping adventures in nature’s most challenging environments. Yet, always at the heart of these exploits is the central message that nature plays a profound role in shaping us as people – instilling strength, resilience, self-belief, and teamwork. We believe that everyone should have the chance to follow their sense of adventure and will work with the Bear Grylls Survival Academy team to develop outdoor experiences for all.”

Paul Gardiner, BGSA Managing Director, added: “From its steep mountains to its deep wadi valleys, across sand dunes, canyons and coastlines, The Red Sea in Saudi Arabia has some of the most diverse natural environments we’ve ever seen. We look forward to developing a series of BGSA’s signature challenges and assets that allow people to test and ultimately overcome their own limits and expectations.”

The Red Sea will welcome its first guests in 2023. Check in with FACT for more details.
