A local superstar will kick off the Gamers8 concert series in Riyadh

Rabeh Saqer will be the first of many local, regional and global artists performing every Friday.

Gamers8 may be the world’s largest gaming and esports festival, but its latest news is one for the melomaniacs. The event, which returns for its second edition next month, will kick off with a performance by Rabeh Saqer at Boulevard Riyadh City on 7 July. The Saudi superstar is among the Arab music world’s most beloved artists, with his greatest songs such as Ana Ahebbak and Latemanan capturing the hearts of fans across the globe.

Eight weeks of unforgettable entertainment will follow as local, regional and global artists perform every Friday. The exact line-up of the Gamers8 concert series is expected soon.

Ahmed Al Bishri, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Saudi Esports Federation, said: “Gamers8: The Land of Heroes will open its doors for eight unforgettable weeks on July 7th. It will be a truly splendid and historic moment as we witness the season-opening ceremony performed by one of Saudi Arabia’s most talented artists, Rabeh Saqer.”

Last year’s inaugural Gamers8 concert series featured a total of 46 global, regional and local acts, captivating the audience with their mesmerising performances. Building upon that success, this year’s edition promises to be even bigger and more spectacular.

Incidentally, the event has a total prize pool of over $45 million — triple that of last year’s grand prize total. Hosted at a state-of-the-art venue at Boulevard Riyadh City, Gamers8 is the ultimate destination for gamers, esports enthusiasts and fans, as well as families and children of all ages.
