Agio in Riyadh: Indulge in Italian cuisine at the new restaurant

Located in The Canopy, it draws its inspiration from the Amalfi Coast.

Riyadh, it’s time to say ciao to a new restaurant. The Italian concept, Agio, has opened in The Canopy. Drawing its inspiration from the Amalfi Coast, the venue is a sophisticated space to indulge in Italy’s finest food.

Created by Modern Food Company, Agio in Riyadh is a homegrown concept. MFC previously bought BeefBar, Billionaire, MYAZŪ and Signor Sassi to the capital. Now, it’s hoped that the new Italian restaurant Agio in Riyadh will delight diners.

Chef Filippo Pagani previously conceptualised the menu at Signor Sassi in the Saudi capital, and is now working his magic at Agio in Riyadh. The menu harks back to his childhood and food made by his family. The menu spans pasta, pizza, fish and meat dishes, and includes a wood fire oven. Plus, a range of classic desserts, from gelato to tiramisu. All dishes are carefully curated and served on pretty plates.

Agio showcases a relaxed yet refined Mediterranean vibe. The venue is easy to spot, thanks to its artfully placed logo with lemons. The fruit is reflected in the interiors, which include bold and bright colours, from a neon logo to yellow sofas. If you want to watch the team at work, you can marvel at the mixologists making mocktails at the bar.

The smart spot includes white tablecloths, rattan-style chairs, soft sofas and statement chandeliers. Look out for the eye-catching artwork on the walls, and the additional greenery, from potted plants to hanging plants. Plus, the shelves include books and trinkets from the Amalfi Coast.
