Charming café Bateel El’an opens at Roshan Front in Riyadh 

Dig into fresh salads, sandwiches and more.

Bateel International is famous for its luxurious cafes, shops, gifts and, of course, dates. Now, it is expanding and opening Bateel El’an in Saudi Arabia. Located in Roshan Front in Riyadh, the café serves freshly baked goods, sandwiches and coffee. 

Bateel El’an’s items are prepared daily by the in-house team of artisan bakers, baristas, and chefs. The baked goods include breads, savoury and sweet pastries. The dishes range from nutritious salads to wholesome sandwiches. Plus, there is a range of hot and cold drinks, which includes single-origin coffees. 

El’an means now in Arabic, and highlights Bateel El’an aim to offer high-quality yet convenient food and drink. Visitors will be able to dine in or takeaway, as the items on the menu have also been designed to grab and go. 

Bateel International prides itself on Arabian hospitality. The brand has already bought Bateel El’an to the UAE. In 2023, two cafés opened in the country. Bateel El’an will also expand across the region and internationally in malls, airports and stand-alone street locations.

The brand is launching Ewan by Bateel in Riyadh, which fuses together Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influences. The opening date has not yet been confirmed, but we know that it will be located in the Diplomatic Quarter. Plus, the restaurant will be designed by the San Francisco architecture company Gensler, and developed by Unified Real Estate Development Company.

The brand is best known for its gourmet dates. The innovative creations include date vinegar, date dhibs and sparking date juice. Plus, the products come in high-end presentation boxes, which range from gold packages to silver trays.
