Jiangnange in Riyadh brings classic Chinese to a contemporary setting

Dig into dim sum, duck and delicious dishes.

When you’re craving Chinese food, put this new restaurant in Riyadh on your radar. Jiangnange has opened in the capital and serves Chinese classics in a contemporary setting.

Jiangnange is located in the hip and happening area of Olaya. While the name outside is spelt in Chinese characters, it’s easy to spot the venue. The restaurant has projected its logo on the floor – think Bat-Signal, but just not in the sky.

Jiangnange in Riyadh has a swanky, sophisticated design. Outside, there are gold features and floor-to-ceiling windows, which attract customers to the venue. Inside, guests are greeted by the maneki-neko (aka a waving cat), which is believed to bring good luck.

The restaurant spans two floors and includes a variety of seating areas, which are especially great for groups. Settle into one of the green banquettes, navy booths or semi-private seating areas. We love that the curtains can be drawn at the six-person table, which creates a more intimate dining experience

The designers have made the most of the space. The ceiling boasts plenty of hanging plants and Oriental lanterns. Plus, there is a real attention to detail, as even the plates have dramatic designs on them – a dragon, anyone?

Jiangnange’s menu includes hot pot dishes, which are bought sizzling to the table. The menu is designed for sharing and includes dim sum options. Plus, it prides itself on its Peking Roast Duck.

Jiangnange in Riyadh is open daily from 11am to 10pm.
