Two new IHG hotels in Taif will boast magical mountain views

The IHG hotels include Holiday Inn & Suites Taif and Staybridge Suites Taif.

Saudi Arabia is filled with big brands opening hotels across the Kingdom. IHG Hotels & Resorts is the latest name to announce developments. Located in Al Shafa, Taif, the projects include Holiday Inn & Suites Taif and Staybridge Suites Taif.

Taif is famous for its mountain range and roses, and the flowers are celebrated in the Taif Rose Festival during the spring. Set to open before the end of 2025, Holiday Inn & Suites Resort Taif will sit in the Al Shafa Mountains, and Staybridge Suites Taif will boast mountain views.

Holiday Inn & Suites Resort Taif will include chalets, an all-day dining restaurant, a pool, a fitness centre, shops, a cinema and a ballroom. Staybridge Suites Taif will include apartments, studios, villas, restaurants, a fitness centre and a swimming pool.

Haitham Mattar, Managing Director – India, Middle East and Africa, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are pleased to bring two brands from our essential and suites offering to Taif. Having opened the first internationally branded hotel in Taif – InterContinental Taif – decades ago, we are proud to continue to strengthen our footprint in the city as it grows into a prominent tourism destination in the country.”

Abdulaziz Al Jumaiah, CEO of Al Jumaiah Group, added: “We value the continuation of increasing our investment portfolio and strengthening this partnership. Our company has previously partnered with IHG to manage and operate two hotel projects, Crowne Plaza Jeddah Al Salam, and Crowne Plaza Riyadh Al Waha.”

IHG’s portfolio includes 40 hotels in Saudi Arabia. The brand aims to open 32 more over the next five years. Check in with FACT for the latest hotel news.
