Everything we know about Riyadh Season’s new BLVD Runway
The sky-high attraction includes Saudi aircrafts and entertainment.
Saudi Arabia is filled with exciting experiences, from AlUla to the Red Sea. The latest project is BLVD Runway, which is currently under construction. The project showcases a plane-inspired experience, and brings together entertainment on board five specially designed planes.
Turki Al Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority, announced that the construction had commenced. The new attraction is part of Riyadh Season, and developed with Saudi Arabian Airlines, Saudia.
The BLVD Runway zone will pay homage to Saudi Arabia as an international destination. Not only will there be restaurants from around the world, but also five stationary planes with entertainment on board. So far, we know that the experiences include a horror-themed show.
Riyadh Season 2023 started on 28 October, and is currently underway in the capital. This year’s theme Big Time reflect its ambition to bring the best arts, culture and entertainment to the capital. Riyadh Season is part of Saudi Seasons, which includes Sharqiyah Season in March and Jeddah Season in June.
Riyadh Season launched in 2019 and is the largest festival of its kind in the Middle East. Now in its fourth edition, Riyadh Season takes over the whole city and 60 per cent includes new experiences. The festival has welcomed A-listers, from celebrity chefs to singing sensations. The new experiences include the Barbie World, which pays homage to the doll, and the Legend Museum, which celebrates soccer stars. Highlights also include Winter Wonderland with classic rides and chalet-style shops.
