Legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo stars in Riyadh Season trailer

Riyadh Season 2023 is kicking off soon. Legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has made sure it scores, as he appears in the trailer for the festival. The event begins on 28 October, and here’s what to expect.  

In Riyadh Season 2023’s trailer, Ronaldo can be seen doing what he does best – playing football. The trailer starts with an image of a Saudi Arabian man, woman and two young children. The boy throws a ball in the air, which gets picked up by the footballer. He then shows off his skills in front of a digitally recreated Plaza de Toros Las Ventas, which is a bullfighting ring in Spain.

During the trailer, it also shows a young girl holding a doll of Elsa from Disney’s Frozen. The clips then show a Disney Castle, which is set to open in Riyadh. The castle celebrates 100 years of Disney magic, and will be located in Boulevard Riyadh City. Plus, the clips show Randy’s Donuts and a boxing belt. 

Riyadh Season 2023 will welcome new attractions: Barbie World, which pays homage to the doll; Mike Tyson’s boxing gym, which aims to nurture new talent; and The Legend Museum, which celebrates soccer stars. Plus, Winter Wonderland returns with fairground rides, ice skating and chalet-style shops. 

Now in its fourth edition, Riyadh Season takes over the city. This year, 60 per cent will be new experiences. The festival welcomes A-listers, from celebrity chefs to singing sensations – BTS, Anne-Marie and Pitbull were at previous events.
