Hair Story: New salon brings positive vibes only to Riyadh

The blow dries have fun names including Boujee, Kim Not a Karen and Snatched.

Desperate for a good hair day? Well, check out Hair Story, the new hair salon in Riyadh. Located on Prince Turki Ibn Abdulaziz Al Awwal Road in Turki Al Awal, it is packed with personality. So, if you want to let your hair down (or up), here’s what you need to know.

Hair Story in Riyadh aims to make its customers feel happy with not only their hair but themselves. The creators describe themselves as misfits, and they were inspired to create an alternative space in Saudi Arabia.

The décor gives up grown-up Barbie vibes, as the interior ranges from pink to red hues. When you enter, you go through an Insta-friendly tunnel. On the floor, it says, “They lied to us” and “There was never really light at the end of the tunnel”. The walls include tongue-in-cheek posters and statement slogans, from “Fight For Love” to “Love Story”. Plus, there is a mirror surrounded by #inspirationalquotes, which are designed like text messages.

Hair Story in Riyadh’s menu is playful and on point. The treatments include blow dries and haircuts for adults and children. Here are the blow-dry looks: Boujee with beach hair; Emily in Paris is face framing; Kim Not A Karen creates loose waves; Main Character Energy is the signature blow-dry; and Snatched is straight and sleek.

The salon offers Kerastase treatments for different types of hair. The options include an Anti Hair Fall, Colour Gloss and Scalp and Hair Health Boost. Plus, a 24 Carat treatment using Elixir Ultime Oil.

Hair Story in Riyadh is open daily from 11am to 8pm.
