Riyadh, clear some space in your diary. Riyadh Season 2026 begins on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, kicking off ten weeks of entertainment across the Saudi capital. Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), revealed the date through a promotional video shared on social media with the caption “Riyadh Season is coming soon, and this time, it’s even more spectacular”. Returning under the “Big Time” banner, the seventh edition will feature sport, music, theatre and family activities.
The announcement marks the countdown to an event that has become a major fixture in the Kingdom’s entertainment calendar. The previous edition attracted 17 million visitors, according to the GEA, demonstrating the appetite for its combination of international performers, interactive attractions and sporting competitions.
What’s new at Riyadh Season 2026?
Among the additions for 2026 is the Ethnosport Cultural Festival, which will take place in Riyadh in November. Organised by the World Ethnosport Union, the festival celebrates traditional sports and cultures, with a format encompassing sporting demonstrations, traditional arts, food and children’s games. It offers a different kind of day out alongside the arena action, with opportunities to engage with cultural traditions from around the world. Precise dates and the detailed Riyadh programme are still to be announced.
Tennis fans already have three dates to circle. Six Kings Slam returns on 21, 22 and 24 October 2026, with Jannik Sinner seeking a third consecutive title. Joining him are Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and tournament newcomer Alex de Minaur. The exhibition will follow a single-elimination format, with a third-place playoff and global streaming on Netflix. A fan zone will add entertainment and interactive activities around the matches.
WWE Crown Jewel is also confirmed for 7 November 2026 in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District. The wrestling event returns to the Saudi capital following its 2025 outing in Perth, adding another major sporting spectacle to the season’s early calendar.
What’s returning to Riyadh Season 2026?

Away from the arenas, Boulevard City will introduce refreshed content, while Boulevard World and Wonder Garden return. The announced programme also includes The Groves, the Farmers’ Market and the Ana Arabia exhibition at VIA Riyadh. Boxing, UFC, concerts and comedy feature in the launch preview, although individual fixtures and performer line-ups remain among the details to watch for. Whether your ideal evening involves courtside drama, cultural discovery or family entertainment, the first announcements offer plenty to build a night out around.
Riyadh Season is part of Saudi Seasons, which includes Sharqiyah Season in March and Jeddah Season in June. Riyadh Season, originally launched in 2019, is the largest festival of its kind in the Middle East. The event takes over the capital with A-list sports stars, celebrity chefs and singing sensations.
