Saudi Arabia is turning up the volume. The Riyadh Film Music Festival is back for its second edition. Running from 30 July to 8 August, it takes place at the Red Hall in Princess Nourah University Theatre.

The Riyadh Film Music Festival combines film and music to offer a unique cinematic experience. Look out for screenings of iconic films accompanied by live music, including performances by an orchestra conducted by Maestro Ernst Van Tiel. The experience features more than 80 musicians on stage.

The festival line-up includes family-friendly films. The programme includes Top Gun: Maverick from 30 July to 2 August, The Lion King on 1 and 2 August, Back to the Future on 5 and 6 August, and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl on 7 and 8 August. 

Top Gun: Maverick is a sequel to the 1986 film Top Gun, starring Tom Cruise, Glen Powell, Val Kilmer, and Jennifer Connelly. The Lion King is the classic Disney film released in 1994. The story follows the young lion Simba, heir to his father Mufasa, as he faces a challenge from his evil uncle Scar. The cast includes Matthew Broderick, James Earl Jones, and Whoopi Goldberg.

Back to the Future is a classic sci-fi film that follows Marty McFly as he travels back in time. He encounters younger versions of his parents and must ensure events unfold correctly to preserve his future. The cast includes Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, and Lea Thompson. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is an adventure movie, which stars Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom.
