The European Film Festival celebrates cinema, culture and collaboration.

The European Film Festival is back in Riyadh for its fourth edition, taking place at VOX Cinemas in Century Corner from 4 to 11 November 2025. Designed for Saudi film lovers, the programme showcases 15 European films from 15 countries, all screened in their original languages with Arabic and English subtitles.

Organised by the Delegation of the European Union in partnership with Arabia Pictures, the Embassies of EU Member States and VOX Cinemas, the festival aims to build bridges between European and Saudi creatives. It encourages cultural exchange, industry networking and a broader appreciation of European cinema within the Kingdom’s fast-growing film landscape.

This year’s line-up reflects the diversity of contemporary European filmmaking, with titles spanning powerful dramas, acclaimed animations and crowd-pleasing features. Highlights include Mond by Kurdish-Austrian filmmaker Kurdwin Ayub, We Believe You by Arnaud Dufeys and Charlotte Devillers, and The Sock by Kyros Papavassiliou. Animation fans can look forward to Living Large by Kristina Dufková and Titina, a Norwegian Belgian feature by Kajsa Næss. The programme also features Sons by Gustav Möller, Je’vaida by Katja Gauriloff, There’s Still Tomorrow by Paola Cortellesi, and Flow by Gints Zilbalodis. Rounding out the selection are O Pai Tirano by António Lopes Ribeiro, The Secret of the PinUp Island by Alecs Nastoiu, Autobus 47 by Marcel Barrena, Watch the Skies by Swedish filmmaker Victor Danell, and Us, Our Pets, and the War by Anton Ptushkin.

Country representation is equally broad, with films from across the European Union and beyond, including Austria, Belgium, Italy, Ukraine, Sweden, Switzerland, Romania and Portugal. The mix underscores the festival’s mission to present a snapshot of European storytelling to Saudi audiences and to foster meaningful dialogue between filmmakers, producers and programmers.

Alongside screenings, the festival will host two free-access events featuring leading filmmakers. These sessions offer audiences and emerging talent the chance to gain insight into the craft and connect with industry voices.

Tickets are priced at SAR 35 per person and are available through the KSA VOX Cinemas website. Whether you are a dedicated cinephile or simply seeking a memorable night out with family and friends, this week of screenings at Century Corner promises a rich and varied journey through European cinema.
