The A-list headliners include Benson Boone, Kaytranada and Post Malone.
Riyadh, are you ready? Just when we thought we couldn’t be more excited about MDLBeast Soundstorm 2025, the region’s biggest music festival has announced further additions to its star-studded musical lineup.
MDLBeast Soundstorm 2025 runs from 11 to 13 December, and is in its fifth edition. Taking place in the Banban desert outside of Riyadh, the festival is your chance to catch local and international talent in the Kingdom.
Ava Max
Ava Max (born Amanda Ava Koçi) is an Albanian-American pop singer best known for glossy, high-energy hits and anthemic hooks. Bringing pure pop to MDLBeast Soundstorm 2025, expect mass sing-alongs to “Sweet but Psycho,” “Kings & Queens,” and “My Head & My Heart,” alongside newer era cuts like “Lost Your Faith” and “Lovin’ Myself.”
Benson Boone
With a set primed for cathartic chorus moments and big-screen emotion, Benson Boone makes his Saudi debut at MDLBEast Soundstorm 2025. Expect chart favourites “Beautiful Things” and “Slow It Down,” alongside fan picks like “In The Stars,” delivered with his trademark, drum-tight dynamics. The singer first gained attention through TikTok and a brief appearance on American Idol, yet it was his debut single, “Ghost Town: in 2021, that skyrocketed him from viral newcomer to arena headliner.
Post Malone
Post Malone’s return to the Soundstorm stage will stitch hip-hop, pop, and rock into a sing-every-word spectacle. “Sunflower,” “Circles”, and “Chemical” are built for mass euphoria, while deeper cuts are likely to keep the set list unpredictable. He recently featured on Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight” and Beyoncé’s “Levii’s Jeans.” Expect a loosened, live-band feel, auto-tune when required, and a festival-sized light show that only MDLBeast can deliver..
Kaytranada
Kaytranada’s groove engine is tailor-made for Soundstorm’s desert setting. Born Louis Kevin Celestin, the Haitian-Canadian DJ and producer is known for his groove-led blends of house, hip-hop and R&B. His second album “BUBBA” (2019) earned two Grammys in 2021, including Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Dance Recording for “10%” with Kali Uchis. Expect precision transitions, velvet-thick basslines, and a BPM sweet spot that keeps your hands in the air during tracks like “Lite Spots” and “Intimidated.”
Korolova
Born Olga Korolova, Korolova is a Ukrainian DJ/producer known for melodic techno and progressive house. She’s played major stages like Tomorrowland and built an online following with scenic live-set videos on YouTube. Korolova’s Riyadh debut should glide from emotional builds to laser-cut drops, with fan favourites such as “Be Strong,” “Lost in Space” and “Shining” shaping her set.
Major Lazer
Major Lazer’s sound system energy is festival rocket fuel. The trio consists of American DJ Diplo, Jamaican-American MC Walshy Fire, and American DJ-producer Ape Drums. The group’s music pulsates with the soul of Jamaican dancehall and reggae, infused with the electrifying energy of EDM. In Riyadh, count on whiplash tempo switches and global bass bangers that turn fields into mosh pits. “Lean On,” “Light It Up,” and “Cold Water” remain guaranteed ignition points, weaving dancehall DNA with pop precision.
Loyle Carner
Loyle Carner offers a different kind of elevation at MDLBeast Soundstorm, swapping pyrotechnics for poetic detail and jazz-kissed beats. The English rapper from South London is known for jazz-tinted, confessional hip hop. His albums include the Mercury-nominated “Yesterday’s Gone,” “Not Waving, but Drowning”, and “Hopefully!” Notable tracks span “Ottolenghi,” “Loose Ends,” “Hate,” and “Nobody Knows (Ladas Road),” showcasing the flow and warmth that made him a critic’s favourite.
