The Mayfair Chippy is landing in Riyadh.
The United Kingdom is famous for its fish and chips, and now the comfort cuisine is coming to Saudi Arabia. The Mayfair Chippy can already be found in Knightsbridge and Mayfair, and it is now opening in Riyadh. If you’d like to put the restaurant on your radar, here’s what you need to know.
If you’d like to know what The Mayfair Chippy in Riyadh will be like, take a mouthwatering look at its London counterpart. The restaurant is open for all-day dining and showcases classic British dishes. The Knightsbridge venue is located within walking distance of Harrods and Hyde Park, and the Mayfair venue is located close to the shopping on Bond Street and Oxford Street.

The menu spans snacks, small plates, classics, sandwiches, seafood and extras. Sandwiches include the Fish Finger Butty – for the uninitiated, this features fish fingers in brioche with pickles and tartar sauce. Classics include TMC Shepherd’s Pie with HP gravy, and Fried Haddock or Hake with mushy peas, chips and chip shop curry sauce or HP gravy.

For Ramadan, the restaurant has created a new iftar menu in collaboration with the brand’s Saudi Operations Manager. The four-course menu blends classics with Middle Eastern-inspired flavours. The starters range from Medjool Dates to Mini Lentil Soup. The mains range from The Mayfair Classic with fried cod and haddock goujons, king prawns, and hand-cut chips to the Grilled Whole Chermoula-Marinated Seabass with spiced lemon butter, za’atar, citrus salt, and labneh salad.
