Located in Gernata Square, it offers comfort food.

Riyadh’s culinary landscape is evolving. While the capital boasts plenty of fine dining restaurants, the appetite for comforting, authentic street food is just as fierce. Now, Riyadh is gearing up to launch Burns Road Express.

Located in Gernata Square, right opposite Al Shuhada Park, Burns Road Express brings the flavours of Karachi’s most iconic food street, Burns Road, straight to Saudi Arabia. Expect to indulge in a buzzing atmosphere with finger-licking, delicious food that will keep you coming back for more.

Step into Burns Road Express and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a lively corner of Karachi. From colourful light fixtures and wall art to vintage bicycle and truck art motifs, the interiors are unapologetically Pakistani. There’s even a quirky cut-out of a Pakistani truck front, perfect for those Instagrammable moments. Plus, it claims to be the only Pakistani restaurant in Riyadh with outdoor seating, paying homage to the alfresco dining culture of the original Burns Road.

The menu at Burns Road Express is also an ode to Pakistani street food. Expect bun kababs, paratha rolls, BBQ platters, karahis, and biryani. The likes of chaat, ras malai, doodh patti, lemonade, and other favourites are also on the agenda, so you can enjoy a truly authentic experience.

Burns Road Express takes its name from a buzzing street in Karachi, known for coming alive after sunset. Here, the traffic stops, tables spill onto the road, and the aroma of delicacies fills the air. With roots dating back to the 1940s and named after Scottish doctor James Burnes, the concept has grown into a melting pot of communities and cuisines. Now, that same spirit has been transported to Riyadh.

So, if you love Pakistani food or are just curious to explore a new culinary adventure, enjoy an unfiltered taste of Karachi. Get ready to feast.
