The restaurant is famous for its signature mono-dish menu.

Restaurants have been steadily travelling between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the latest London favourite to arrive is Rowley’s. After a successful expansion to Dubai, the superb Jermyn Street steakhouse is heading to the Saudi capital, with Rowley’s Riyadh set to open in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) on 22 December.

The new outpost will bring the brand’s much-loved Entrecôte Steak and British brasserie charm to one of the capital’s most dynamic districts.

The Rowley’s story begins on Jermyn Street in London. The original site was once home to the Walls meat business, where Richard Walls learnt his trade. The legacy has remained in the family for generations, and the brand continues to champion the same dedication to quality that has defined it from the very beginning.

Rowley’s opened as a restaurant in 1976 and quickly built a reputation as a destination for serious steak lovers. The concept celebrates dry-aged, grass-fed beef and classic British comfort dishes. At the heart of the experience is the signature Entrecôte Steak, served with the restaurant’s secret herb, Roquefort, and butter sauce, which regulars return for time and again.

In Riyadh, Rowley’s will introduce a focused mono-dish menu that keeps things simple and indulgent. Guests can look forward to a plate built around steak, salad, fries and that famous sauce. The experience is designed to feel generous and unfussy, with unlimited fries on offer and a cake of the day for those who want to finish with something sweet.

The setting promises to mirror the brand’s debonair London style while speaking to its new KAFD address. Expect an old-world atmosphere with wooden flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows, dramatic mirrors, framed photographs and a classic clock that anchors the room. A charming fox mascot appears throughout the space, from staff uniforms and merchandise to the tablecloths, where guests can even scrawl their name and preferred cooking temperature for a touch of interactive fun.

Rowley’s Riyadh is set to add a slice of London steakhouse culture to the Saudi capital.
