This location unveils the largest cake display of any tashas.
Twenty years after opening its first café in Johannesburg in 2005, tashas is heading to the Kingdom. The global hospitality company Tashas Group, founded by Natasha Sideris, is set to open in Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District in October 2025. The brand has earned a loyal following for beautiful food, considered interiors, and warm, personal service. The KAFD outpost pairs a bespoke menu with interiors that speak to the rhythm of the district.
True to the brand’s fresh, made-to-order philosophy, tashas KAFD will serve generous, uncomplicated plates that feel both nostalgic and elevated. By day, the Classic Menu offers breakfast favourites, including the Hummus Toastie, piled high with avocado, feta, roasted tomatoes, and a poached egg, as well as the indulgent Brioche French Toast with berries and crème anglaise. All-day highlights include the Texas Salad and the much-loved Parmesan and Couscous-Crusted Chicken, served with seasonal greens and goat cheese.
Evenings introduce a bespoke dinner menu tailored for KAFD. Starters, mains, and salads lean into clean flavours and quality ingredients, with a delicate Salmon Carpaccio lifted by citrus and herbs, a Steak Tagliata of tender beef with rocket, roasted tomatoes, and parmesan shavings, and Savva’s Chicken Pasta, a creamy classic with grilled chicken and mushrooms. As Culinary Director Jill Okkers puts it, “With the Riyadh opening, we are showcasing tashas as a true dinner destination,” adding, “The bespoke Night Menu and expanded dessert selection have been crafted specifically with Riyadh in mind, making this café a one-of-a-kind experience.”
Dessert gets a starring role. This location showcases the largest cake display of any tashas, featuring over 25 creations. The drinks list is equally considered, offering handcrafted blends that upgrade familiar favourites. Expect a creamy piña colada, fruit-forward mojitos, the floral lift of a Turkish Delight, and the bright sparkle of a Paloma, each designed to refresh and revive.
